Why is the client in a RAR file?

Hi,

I don't have nor want to pay for software that can unpack a RAR file. I am curious how many folks that would love to just play are missing out because they cannot get the client installed? Is there any chance we can change the client download to be a zip file instead?

WinRAR is nagware, the fact was even referenced in an episode of Dragonball Z Abridged. It's effectively free, you just have to dismiss the reminder.

Or use 7zip it's also free, a bit outdated but it actually compresses files better then winrar does, it even manages to unpacke certain .exe files while winrar is not able to do so. (I still use both)

You can use it for free, so you don't have to spend any money. Up until now, no one has complained. so I just think it's you.

Use 7zip ... it has a very in depth options list ... easy to use ... free ... and I so far have not found anything it cant open ... not to mention you can look inside any archive without unpacking the archive ...

also I have not experienced any addware, malware, viruses or any such other garbage ... I did custom install to weed out the garbage addons ...
