Any open Warband?

Disclaimer, this is no way intended to insult or make fun of anyone, its just something that is good to know as not every player seems to graps it - (not that anyone of you kind people who happens to read this is dumb in any way)

Sorry for any spelling errors, btw.

So, you have deceided to log on to the best game and have some fun?
And today you would like to have som RvR fun!?

There are some things to know.... first and foremost!

Please for the love of Tzeentch, do not start your gaming session by asking in any channel:

"Wheres the RVR action at?" followed by that classical line "Any open Warband?"

Instead press the key "L" this will open a menu that enables you to see the Warbands that are currently tagged as open, please note that open doesnt necessarily mean that they have slots left in it, more often than not it will look like there are open slots in it (yes, even after you have pressed the refresh button), like for example 11/24 , meaning that it should have 13 slots open, but this game is in alpha phase and there are more important stuff that has to be fixed first - anyhow, now just place your marker on a Warband - you now will see the level-range of the characters in it - if your level matches, try joining it.

If all goes well, you are now in a warband, there is now no need to ask in any channel "Wheres the RVR action at?" followed by that classical line "Any open Warband?", fact is, just let the mouse button (if you are using a mouse that is) hower above any character in the warband, you will see where they are, quite neat right?

But (and this is important) if the level range doesnt match, please refrain from joining, people will not react kindly towards you on any occassion if you do, this derives from the fact as you cant atm be kicked from it, any excuses such as "Hey, T1 is booring and dull" etc.etc, fall on deaf ears in a T3 warband and the slot that you have occupied, can actually, believe it or not, be the difference between success and utter failure, if you are there to soak up xp and rr, you can follow as a hangaround when they cap BO's do not however join the warband.

Also if you join a warband and turn into a chicken when joining them in the zone they are in , you are doing it wrong.

Oh noes, all warbands in my level-range are full, what to do now?

Now you might think that asking in channel, "Wheres the RVR action at?" followed by that classical line "Any open Warband?" would suffice now, but there are however other things you can do, should do.

This is quite advanced, mind you, you have to take command and actually do something yourself, offer in the Tier channel you are in or in LFG channel, that you, yeah thats right YOU are creating an overflow Warband, why?

A.) You have just discovered that there are no slots in the warbands that match your level range, matey.

B.) It doesnt really matter where the action is at, because you aint gonna have none, solo, yeah sure you are a witchelf or a witch hunter or any other class that you can solo with...then again, why even ask "Wheres the RVR action at?" followed by that classical line "Any open Warband?" ,to start with?

Do not be afraid and skip this glorius part of the game to create your very own warband, it aint hard I assure you, the hardest part in a warband is actually (or seems to be for many) as a leader of it, to communicate where the warband should go, any form of cooperation be it in game or outside it, is doomed to fail without c o m m u n i c a t i o n.

You see that green dots on the minimap when you are in a warband and 1 in particular that moves when you press the keys S.A.W.D ? Congrats you have found yourself alongside with hopefully 23 other green dots, now if 23 green dots go after something and your green dot goes to another something, you as a warband leader has probably failed to communicate your grand plan.

Your warband is not a bunch of mindreaders, they are more akin to a flock of sheeps and you good Madam or Sir, are its shepherd.

Also, a small tip, do not communicate with the one who always ask stupid questions in /tell as that will probably only lead to that you see 22 green dots moving to something and 2 other green dots moving to another something, instead communicate in your warband channel with your warband and you should managed it alright.

Later you can go on advanced mode and send messages in the tier channel but only if you manage to master the hardest thing of all, which is [...........] with your warband.

Good luck out there and I hope to join your warband soon.
