Can someone break down the classes for me please ?
I'm new to the game and have been looking for a sort of "class guide"
I can't seem to find one anywhere.
I'd like to know for instance there's what 6 tank classes ? what tank does the most damage what tank lives the longest etc
For mele who has the best burst and who has the best sustained ?
ranged same deal. who shits on kids in seconds and who writhes them down ?
ANY FEED BACK WOULD BE NICE ! <3
Much love
The new guy.
Class guide ? ?

Re: Class guide ? ?
well you could look up class guides on the net through most will be wofull outdated Most dmg from tanks? that comes from off specing with a 2h and i think it would come down to BO? No tank could compare to the burst crits they could do thanks to stab you godder tactic
As for most defensive im not sure deftard specs all tanks were really strong i think IB, BG, SM ? IDK i never played Deftard tanks
Best burst on mdps is either witch hunter/elf i belive WE was the one who had more burst most sustain is marauder....(or maybe dps DoK)
i dont play rdps classes

Re: Class guide ? ?
Tanks: All 6 do fine for dps or survivability. Chosen/ironbreaker have slightly more utility as a 2h spec, knight/blackguard have slightly more utility with a shield. Swordmaster/black orc are more about flat damage and have less utility, so arent popular in serious groups, but if youre just playing casually they are great classes too.
Mdps: All 6 are very similar - witch elf/witch hunter/white lion are more bursty, marauder/slayer/choppa are more sustained, but the differences are minor. Groups will be happy with any as long as you play them right, but in general slayers/marauders are the most popular.
Rdps: Bright wizard/sorc are almost all about burst, squig herder/shadow warrior are more sustained, though they have high burst once a minute - all 4 are wanted in groups. Magus/engy are not recommended for new players, unless you want a challenge, theyre kind of an unfinished class, but still fun in their own way.
Healers: You didnt ask but il sum it up quickly - Warrior priest/dok have more survivability/aoe heals, rune priest/zealot have more single target heals, and archmage/shaman are similar to magus/engy - doable, but its a challenge.
So basically pick what you find interesting, all 24 are viable end game. Id avoid engy/magus and archmage/shaman for now unless you like a challenge - though theyre being worked on, so in the future they will be more playable.
