Unable to get into the game.

Hi
First can I start by saying thank you for doing this, I have missed playing Warhammer online a great deal and appreciate all the work gone into keeping it alive.

I currently have a problem where I am unable to create a character and am unable to connect to the server.

I'll go through the steps I have taken and hopefully someone who knows more can direct me.

I've downloaded the game file via torrent.
Moved it out of downloads,
downloaded the launcher,
moved it into the game file,
donwloaded direct x 9 as instructed,
made sure both game file and launcher are run as admin,
given permissions with anti virus/firewall.
made sure war.exe was not read only,
I cant unselect the actual warhammer online game file to be read only, every time I do, it just returns to being read only.

Each time I try to play the game, I get to what would be the main screen where I would select character, create character etc, but I only have boxes with: cinematic, settings, credits, quit.

My log shows this:

I have tried uninstalling and re installing the game file 3 times, I though the server may be down, but I have been getting this same log report and problem for 2 days, at various times throughout the day and each time I have checked the home page, which says the server is up and has around 200-280 players online depending on the time.

Perhaps someone who knows a bit more could direct me?

After reading through more of the problems others had, I will take a closer look at my firewall settings.
I've tried all of the other suggestions, so let hope the problem is there.

Now just to wait for work to finish, so I can get back home.
