Hey all
I played a skirmish SW in live and made plenty of use of shadow sting. That being said, it was the 6 point ability in the skirmish tree and so most shadow warriors with half a brain picked it up
Why has it been moved to 9 points? I understand the frustration with a heal debuff as powerful as SS but it's an ailment, requires an ailment to use and can be cleansed without much trouble. (Green Cleanin' anyone?)
Shadow warriors got hit with the "Balance Bat" on the Festerbomb and SS got placed so far into the Skirmish tree you have to spec specifically for it.
It doesn't do a lot of damage either for a 9 point ability.
With Festerbomb gone I don't think it's fair that there's one viable SW build if you want to be taken in a premade.
The whole point of having different available builds is to promote player choice but with the current state of the skirmish tree it feels like Magnet and Rift; "Take it or else."
Must I really wait until T4 to spec 10 of my points just for one DoT and heal debuff so I can still spec half-viable assault?

I dont mean to be rude but you have no idea what youre talking about if you think it can be cleansed easily. Cleansing gets rid of the debuff applied first, and since broadhead arrow is always put on beforehand you ALWAYS will need to cleanse twice to get SS off. Also, spammable vs cleanses on 5s cd. Also, you know, zealots.
Also, yes, you must wait til t4 to get your good spec that takes advantage of multiple trees. Everyone has to do that.

You must have played in a different world than I did on live. Playing in T4 as destro on 3 different servers not once did I **** my pants when I saw a SW.

When were SWs ever overpowered? They were basically irrelevant on the US servers. !WARNIN! this post had a little bit of Irony,rage,sarcasm in itself.
Lets "FIX" skirmish and melee tree to 50% of original power , just couz its funny.
When ur fester B@MB (tactic+750 balistic) does 300 damage to sorc ..... why not - just MOVE
"FESTERING ARROW" further away to 13 points slot instead of NERFING it - just like Azarael said he would do with SNIPE if it goes FAR beyond its original power after POWER UP+boost ,-5 sec cd +50% armor ignore WITHOUT any tactics .... yeah KEG dat "stunth".
AND YEAH . when my melee sw deals BIGGER crits than "FESTERING" i wonna delete HIM as hell.
OFC,"festering arrow" with M2 can do 4000-3000 damage, but damage to whom 20-27 naked unbuffed backstreetboys?
Because before "FiX" it was 900 damage to tanks and 1300 to mages-others "31lvls" stalker gear.
Now it deals 300 damage to geared UP guys with talis "32lvls" , and gosh we lucky to kill noob with it 1600-1700.
To me its would be better if damage was the same as before but CD uped to 10-12 sec. but its only my personal Opinion.
BTW if i can do 2000-4000 crits to naked noobs with others caracters - i need keep it in sicret or otherwise they too would get "FIXED"?...
And yeah when i see chopps with -9 toughness , how i can stop myself from focusing him?))) ofc -100%resists -toughness = 5000 damage confirmed.
ppl just get used to stack DPS or TONS of armor TALIS+POTIONS , so they have 30-170 toughness at max and cry after got killed by random aoe or FFfEster bomb. to ppl with 300-500 toughness even old FESTERING are NOTHING.
All of my chars on destro side , has 20% dodge and 200+ toughness = NEVER felt a problem with festering.
1)if you dodge it = you would feel like boss .
2) got arrow in knee? its made you angry - so there in next time focus SWs , before they even think to cast 3s casts.
3) and SRSLY if bw\sorc does 3000\4000 damage in 2secs its all normal? but others need to kite and place dots, do jumps and suffer?)))

Their saving grace was leading shots giving 15% crit to the party and having a slayer carry with SW assisting.

There were few and far between good SW's were they overpowered? Not really they do have there place in groups. They do have quite a bit of utility and the ability to kite. ON live i pretty much only remember some people crying over Festerbomb spec. Other than that i don't recall them being called OP. Its a fun class, i enjoyed it quite a bit when i played it.
