Re: People not joining SC's

If the imbalanced games are still issue, why not just disband unbalanced SC with 0 emblems on either side?
It is already thoroughly awful, continuous imbalanced numbers due to groups signing up against PUGs.Azarael wrote:I promised group queuing, not perfect balance. If we were talking solo queue only, then I could implement these checks, but the group queue code is complex enough as it is and I have no intention to make it thoroughly awful by attempting to check for these conditions.
Scenarios have the potential to be a core part of the game in T4 if done right, but I agree while we are in T2/T3 Scenarios shouldn't be a big focus aside from adding new scenarios.Tesq wrote:I am against group queue but do not loose other times on sc for now, they are "not" the core of the game and they will never be.
Any problems with the group queue are more likely to be bugs in my code than active dodging until proven otherwise, which is why I intend to add a readout to show who got the pop from your own side.yummypewp wrote:It is already thoroughly awful, continuous imbalanced numbers due to groups signing up against PUGs.Azarael wrote:I promised group queuing, not perfect balance. Queue for that match should be blocked further if 1 side has too many.
The group queue will already refuse to start a scenario if it can't match groups and soloists such that the sides are balanced within +/- 1 player. Not only are additional conditions outside of my brief of replicating the live handling, they also risk killing the queue. This is one of the reasons that I did not split the queue into soloists and groups as I'd originally wanted to.yummypewp wrote:Also - Adding up a sum of levels is not overly complex, and can be done with simple equations.
Like it was said earlier, scenarios are a part of the game, but not necessarily a core part of it at least in T2. If you are going to quit playing just because you are losing scenarios, but are too unmotivated/casual to make an effort to join a guild or make friends that will do 6 man voiced premades than that is your own problem and not the games.carneyfolk wrote:Was just in a pug group v a premade, numbers were even but we were steamrolled. 1 kill total and lost 500 to 36. Total waste of time and frustration. Pugs are worthless now. Just like every other game with group Q...scenarios are only going to be fun for the hardcore guild groups and everyone else is gonna suffer.
Was so glad to see this game back and now i just wanna find something different to play.
