We need siege towers. I'm sure they are possible to make, can use the siege tower model from ekrund ;) )
it's my life dream see those tower get used, but orders lack their coevalent from dwarf sadly.

Well if you take a look at some of the early scenarios you can see they have stuff that never got used in other places.

For example the thunder valley map had climbable vines to get on top of walls around one of the BO's. In function they worked in the same way as keep doors.

Adding in ladders / ropes using the same system would serve the purpose of giving melee more ways into keeps / fortress, use existing code / graphics, and not be as difficult as trying to make siege towers.

The question would then be is, how do you balance it? How expensive will it be? If it is too cheap / easy you make outer-wall defense impossible. Maybe make it have a long cast time? 10s+, or maybe you make it tied to keep upgrades, or make it guild siege with a ridiculous gold cost / CD.

It is hard enough as it is to defend right now with the funkiness of magnet / rift, and the fact that a lot of people just don't bother to try.

though you cant balance keep sieges around a bug and around one side failing to get enough defender into the keep. Fact is there is a threshhold of defenders at which point a keep becomes untakable no matter how many attackers are at the gates.

In large scale battle AOE is a must or there never be a winner. So the question is: How nerf aoe/bombing without lowering the threshhold for taking a keep to a point it can be defended with like 10 people against x2/x3/x4 times attackers.

Threshold is sort of a myth, unless we are talking about zone-crashing-levels of zerg on both sides and lag that comes with it.
Everything could be done by tactics like coordinated moral push or fainted retreat, denial of reinforcement or BO stealing, etc, unless its like 1to100 ;)

i do think that have fix location where puts towers would be fine and maybe require a high gold cost so that 1 guild need to carefull think about it. (old platform for siege weapons stylelike pre 1.4)

Mythics planed to add siege towers to the game? What do you think?

Regarding lack of siege tower models, this is chaos.

I think I saw elven or dwarven siege tower somewhere in the game long time ago.
