Except that it will never happen. As in 'mandated by a coding restriction limiting all warbands to only twelve people' never happen. And how much of an effect would that actually have? Wouldn't the blobs simply continue to blob?

Which means you speak an unfortunate truth. My comment was based on the fact at one time the server reflected the nirvana you espouse but no longer does. So I suppose we are in agreement.

There are multiple reasons for this, but I won't discuss them here.

Limiting any entity to two groups can definetly be achieved. Will it require some spot tweaks to the UI? Possibly, but more likely than not simply for cleanliness to reflect the max being 12 rather than 24 where applicable visually.

And to go even further, to actually solve the problem, just enable friendly fire in some form between any entity that is a full group or larger in addition to limiting entities to two parties. Make keep areas excempt, for example, or don't, and blobbing at least requires some neurons to fire here and there. Though of course, at this point we're getting into the territory of actual pvp MMO mechanics, none of which survived for long. Playerbase here already drops with every push towards a less casual experience, so none of the above would be a good idea despite being completely possible.

As a small scale player i used WC as panic button after trying to be alive running through pve all the time. Full WB and sometimes even 2, trying to kill 3 ppl through half of a pve map is a thing for those of you that didn’t experience that yet. Thanks to this change those “big boys” are going to get their price after making their wbs cross pve to catch 3 players. Well done!

Another Strawman argument. I never said it couldn't be achieved, I said it wouldn't. At one time context of terms was taught in the public school system. I suppose that is passe now.

One reason the playerbase drops here is changes as that being discussed are viewed, whether correctly or incorrectly, as deliberate targeting of the casual player. The default consequence of adding a five second stationary counter on using the War Report is it renders the process of those warband sized groups chasing down either a solo player or a small group easier to accomplish and thus, again by default, creating at least the appearance of further punishment of those players who prefer small scale play.

You contextualized your initial statement in a manner that naively interprets as "it won't, because it can't". A less naive interpretation is possible, but I doubt the case of devs throwing out an outright lie about programmatic feasibility to deflect stuff is common enough for the required context to be widely known. If you're gonna go on about strawmen, avoid contextualizing things in ambiguous manners, and where that fails, maybe just clarify instead.

I solo a lot. Being chased across the map by a warband is half the fun. Seeing how long you can live, and if you can drag them into the warband your side has running as live bait is some of the best fun you can have in the game. I consider it me forcing the two sides to play with (against, whatever) each other by being a hard to crack nut of delicious renown. Works best if you're bright and visible and everyone wants to kill you.

I did that once, I dragged more than 8 people where a famous Destru Wb leader was hiding with his friends. To my surprise, he didn’t move a finger to fight the enemy, id never forget that. After i died and the enemy left, he then moved to the keep in order to get rid of all the boxes they had.
You have no idea how many WBs dodge each other nowadays, to the point that you can’t rely in your own realm, either destru or order.

Well, do you play Warhammer or some barbie stuff? Then do not expect to insta port from the fight. Does not matter if its fair fight or not. You risk nothing.
