True, maybe both realms will prep a zone each. But this will let small groups and soloers have fun in a zone, slowing down the other realm and overall having good RvR fights.Sulorie wrote: Already thought about it myself but all it does is giving both realms a chance to prepare one zone each.
But to follow this idea, aao could slow down the process, so it takes maybe 1 hour or even more with 4 BO and 400+ aao on the other side to be able to start an attack. The lower the opponents aao, the faster each BO hold by your realm generates points. It won't be a hard lock but a time lock based on the rvr activity in a zone.

Re: [POLL] What RvR system did you enjoy the most?
I think that most people around here right now haven't played anything other than the post 1.4x patches from Mythic/EA.
So, I think this poll result really doesn't represent very well the popularity of the earlier versions, IMO.

What's your evidence for saying this? Just because 1.4x has more votes?navis wrote:I think that most people around here right now haven't played anything other than the post 1.4x patches from Mythic/EA.

Re: [POLL] What RvR system did you enjoy the most?
I think it's mostly a result showing a large amount of players that only started playing post 1.4x - they don't know pre 1.3.8...Bozzax wrote:I'm actually a bit surprised myself 1.4 came out on top with almost 50% of the votes
The 50/50 split on RoR old vs current seem to match the previous polls on those.

Re: [POLL] What RvR system did you enjoy the most?
Just a reminder, we came to 1.4.x because all previous iterations of rvr failed.navis wrote:I think it's mostly a result showing a large amount of players that only started playing post 1.4x - they don't know pre 1.3.8...Bozzax wrote:I'm actually a bit surprised myself 1.4 came out on top with almost 50% of the votes

No, according to the player base. Waithammer, doorhammer, tradehammer and the list goes on.Razid1987 wrote:According to Mythic...Sulorie wrote:

sul you may want to consider add a malus(inverse aao)/bonus(aao) system that is my concept to how block keep trading, you could remove rewards based on aao to make keep drade worthless.
Btw the thing of flags give points seems like the old capital city, it would still help more the zerg side cos they just have to take 3 nearest flags (TM for exemple) and the ratio it's 3:1, also if 1 keep>= lock ppl will always zerg in the end and that's the real problem. That's why i support the vp system.

btw all vp system pool put togheter are 48% currently it seems almost half of ppl still look at vp system even in different form as a good system.

exept that waithamemr cos it was 2h timer, with a 20-30 min timer things shoudl get interesting indeedSulorie wrote:No, according to the player base. Waithammer, doorhammer, tradehammer and the list goes on.Razid1987 wrote:According to Mythic...Sulorie wrote:

Re: [POLL] What RvR system did you enjoy the most?
The problem with the old Mythic system is that they wanted to force people into doing stuff they had spent resources to build - so you had to have BO and keep... and you had to win scenarios... and you had to get some PQ, all of it to lock the zone.
If we could just have different options/path toward the common goal instead of one linear story, it would lessen the repetitiveness. For the Zerg though, one has to solve the cross-realm issue - It was just so flagrant tonight and RoR has a small-enough population that 24-30 people switching side makes a huge difference.
