The Irony was this was blocked not by randoms on live but by premades

really? at least on our server our premades were all for premade queues. We HATED playing with or against randoms. or worse another premade with some randoms doing stupid stuff ^^

There was countless threads asking for separate queues coming both from premades and randoms the argumentation against was always starvation / slow pop. Think about it who gain something by mixing randoms and premades?

The quitter debuff was introduced when randoms started to leave when they spotted premades. The guys defending it hardest all farmed randoms nonstop for easy RR and SC-weapons

but whats the bonus for gaining rr and sc-weapons, when you cant use them in a competitive environment, for farming randoms you dont need those higl level items anyway?

i never understood the sentiment of those people.

Never understood it myself but my personal reflection on that is that they viewed SCs a bit like grinding rats. The goal isn't killing rats it is getting level 40.

It's still no instant-win, because it depends on the skill level on both sides. But this is not the topic here.
The bolster would reduce rank differences. It has no effect on numeric imbalances, which are caused by a bug.

Me too but currently it wouldn't be a good idea. Neither of them. No fall damage, when you get kicked into the pit on EC and LoS bugs in the ship sc. :)
