Would this build make sense (as a full tank setup?)

waronlinebuilder.org - Knight of the Blazing Sun build

Getting the prone (amazing against healers) as well as the 10% crit for your party (upon - which with the 5/5 DEV set is ALL the time) then the healing aura debuff... Seems like it could make a pretty huge difference on the battlefield.

Ive been playing 5/5 Duelist set with the PVP 2H but nearly @ my 5/5 DEV set and wanted to go back to tanking potentially....

Thoughts?

Ok so you want to tank

Why waste points on a laughable 25% out going hd when there are so many other sources 50% inc hd?

Why not go all the way up vigilance and get vigilance that nonsense is the equivalent of a 10s detaunt

Knight @ lvl 32/40 has some many viable choices it should be a role model for every class in terms of mastery trees :^) Too bad it also has a lot of absolutely terrible stuff in its trees too.

Laughable 25%? If you are within 100 feet of a healer thats HUGE. Given a Knight is front lines, you can easily get on healers and beat on them. reducing their outgoing heals 25% combined with a 50% from say AM or SW is a massive massive reduction in healing capabilities.

If you go full tank you will never die anyways, Vigi is (IMO) a waste.... Get 5/5 DEV set, use Shield rush (charge w.e) and throw renown into block % and you will nearly never die.... If you do its because you over pushed and were 10v1 without heals.

With my Knight stacking STR in 5/5 Duelist and a 2H I am pretty tanky, when I throw on 4/5 DEV and a few toughness trinkets, its unreal how tanky you become. I tried the Vigi spec and felt like it was kinda a waste IMO.

If you weight the spec I linked against a full Vigi spec: waronlinebuilder.org - Knight of the Blazing Sun build

Versus the "standard Knight spec": waronlinebuilder.org - Knight of the Blazing Sun build

Or the "DPS" Kngiht Spec: waronlinebuilder.org - Knight of the Blazing Sun build

I think the one I linked as a "tank option" seems pretty viable.....

Where is the guard provided in this theory? Any tank not providing a guard is slacking. Also I believe the aura is 30 feet?

... You guard the MDPS almost always. Aura range is 100 feet as said on the tooltip.

He was also pointing out guard range. It's not 100 feet.

This is 2016. Why do the devs allow the magus to continue to be overpowered?
