Agree with volgo apart from personal loot rolls, you must remember the days when the same players would get the bags zone after zone even though they deserved it for getting the most kills but it killed the lesser players motivation.
From my own point of view RvR seems lacking and boring for a while even before the aao malus changes, whether its nostalgia idk but i miss the times with keep def ticks where players could hold a keep door, when siege was repairable and oil wasnt just a 30 sec renown farm before it gets blown up, the old days when keeps could actually be defended by the underpopulated side, when posterns were for the defenders only and mdps , not for whole wb's to use to avoid a funnel.
Dont get me wrong the days of 36 hour KV fights was boring as **** but atleast the keeps were actually keeps, that gave a huge advantage like they should do with funnels and chokepoints.
Bo's also, take portal from wc afk for free renown, every aspect of RvR is boring right now, i would happily take the old waithammer vip system (without pq contribution) way back on live, atleast with that system you had to actively fight and coordinate to succeed.

@morf- yeah I really didn’t care that people like Teefz got all the gold bags. Guys like him were gods of the game. In my mind its normal that they get rewards first. Call me Old School. I liked having to get thousands of kills for my conq. It meant somwthing. Every piece was a major thing.
Now its a lot more effort to get Redeye than Vanquisher. Makes no sense to me.

objective priority gives spice in rvr.
you need to simply sit on multiple BOs, the realm with a lot of numbers can achieve that by basically beeing more.

this is WAR from 2013, only flag in keep, and you have more options: zerg, small scale, or even solo WH/WE could take keep if defenders are sleepy. Malus mechanic (and AAO mechanic) would work as intended without the negatives if they were more localized instead of zone wide. Dunno how hard that would hit server performance though.

The RvR lake is fun for me, there are always good fights at the Battle Objectives, differents scales, I see solo, premades...
Simtex is always here with others premades to have their kills and they don't run the RvR game as I see but if they log in today that meant they have fun ? Or they are mazo ?
Today it's more hard to play a character who have no stealth as solo players but it's a battlefield. A battlefield is supposed to be the place for big troops and battalions.
Run a premade is a real challenge and solo players staying alive more than 10 min out of stealth are great players !
Warbands game are good for me here, strategies and brotherhood, they are all about a war game : zerg, warband, guerilla... Control the lake, run the Battle Objectives and Win or defend the zone !
If today we have so much players to defend a keep it's not for the bags, the rewards or the KILL, it's all about the entertainement; because we give a real dimension to the Warhammer game when we play like this.
I have lead some open WB on live and on RoR and for me RvR is fun today and there are some good change.
I m looking forward for more good RvR mechanics in the hands of the players and as always I will give my feedback to the staff like you today and my suggestions.
For me «inside the red lake» PvP is secondary; if you make the PvP more important than the RvR and his objectives I really don't know if this game will give fun for all like today.
I hope good solo players like you will stay and find theirs kills quota but for me and for some others players as I have seen the RvR today is more about Objectives than about kills.
It look more meaningful for a "Realm" game.
Give more control to the players for the high objectives like maps control.
Like Risk game give points for a map locked by a Realm and a score to reach to have a victorious Realm will give more intensivity and entertainement.
I m sure if you going backward no keep, no Battle Objectives and only kills have importance some of players like you will came back for some days only but many of Realm players will leave and after that all solo and premades players will leave.

you started on this path of turning RoR in Pug AFKhammer back with your Doomsday event in 2017 - your zergsplitting doesn't certainly work since now the smaller side has no way of timing precision strikes well and no way of locking down BOs. Blob big, ignore PVP mechanics and zerg the flags and the keep, repeat in next zone - win bags because even with 0 kills contributed you just earn endgame gear from following the blob from zone to zone. You don't need to compete for the top 5-10% of bag spots - you just show up.
Another idea that has been repeated in the past; you have limited AoE cap on 9 targets. If you have a blob of 100 people, the first 9 will take dmg, the other 91 know they are safe. Well, good for them, they have learned the optimal tactic for not taking dmg. Safety in numbers works. Splitting the zerg doesn't work, unless you really wanted 150 strong Order blob to split into 3 piles of 50 people afking on BOs. Start experiment either with 15 target cap, or 18 target cap, or make target cap rise with AAO, at 20 AAO you hitting on 2-4 more targets, at 100 AAO on 10-20 more targets. Maybe then even a 6man can do something against a blob coming down on them instead of just scratching the first 9 tanks, or even better, a well organized warband with 100 AAO will go out guns blazing and cause a well blobbed formation of 2-4 Warbands "doing realm cooperation" to wipe. Instead of the classic "blob up to win".
Latest changes are just something you could not think possible, yet somehow against all logic were implemented into the game.

Agree. Killing is the main part of any MMORPG game.
And we need arena sc for sure - 1vs1, 2vs2. Reduced time of sc and reduced reward.
