It wouldn't. I always thought it was pretty silly to have a 13 point healing debuff be outgoing...I mean seriously. I believe that the creators assumed that the lion itself would be able to offset some of the tree imbalances...but the pet dies too fast most of the time.

The easiest solution to that is to do what az suggest once before which is to improve how stats are shared between the player and lion

IDK it just seems like giving WL the incoming healdebuff is a bandaid fix.

There would be literally only 1 viable spec for WL mastery wise, which is the case anyways I guess? But that should be a pretty good indicator of the state of the class. If the whole mechanic is built around a pet, but it is so unreliable/bad that people don't want to use it and just spec loner etc...

If this where a live server with paid devs and whatnot I would be calling this a lazy fix, but if it is the only way to realistically buff WL with the resources and capability to tinker with abilities then I would say it is the best change you could do atm.

I just feel that fixing the pet itself should take priority over everything else, but again if time/resources etc... don't allow for it then this change is the best WL has.

many classes in the game have "only one viable/best spec" i.e choppa, mara etc

also another choice for inc hdebuff is that you can change some tree tactic so that it makes some ability apply a inc hdebuff to to the target so that way wl can have both inc and outgoing hdebuff

For me the most important part to fix should be the pet. A working pet is a must for this class. Since so many good skills are dependent on the pet. And for this change we should not wait for T4. This is obvious for a pet class.

Yes but why is the slayer being put in that slot in the first place? If you look at each class independently they seem fine, and I am almost positive that a WL would absolutely destroy a slayer 1v1.

It when you throw in outside factors like guard you see slayer becoming far and away the best MDPS on order. Because it is built around trading defense for offensive power, but the drawback is essentially negated and more just by having guard.

Slayer also has an incoming healdebuff, giving WL one isn't going to change this dynamic. With the exception of mara, DPS classes that are more "defensive" get thrown under the bus when compared to "berserker" classes like Slayer/BW, when you account for the support that a 6 man group provides.

The only way I ever see the current meta being changed up is if you make it so defense becomes more of a premium on DPS classes.

I am not against or can give any real reasons why WL shouldn't get the change to incoming, but I don't see if fixing anything on a grander scale.
