If you can burn a tank - and you'll be able to tell in a few seconds - then great, do that. But if you can't, try to pull their line apart, then as soon as you see a gap, the MDPS runs right at the healers and BW.
You don't have to kill the healers either. If one MDPS gets a healer on the run, the rest - and your tanks and RDPS - can focus fire other healers or tanks or MDPS.
Lots of scenarios allow for a flank, as well.
Once the enemy starts to turn - usually after they lose a couple - you follow through and catch the runners. Then keep the pressure up.
Trick is to keep them broken up so you can hit their healers and RDPS while protecting your healers.
Generally, if you check win rates, you'll see the team with the best healing wins, not the best damage.
So protect yours while messing with theirs. And don't forget that cursed AoE RDPS.
It really does take some teamwork and coordination, as well as not-giving-up-ness.

Re: Scenario Tactics
falling back when the healers get attack is the WRONG decision IMHO.
Its basically a race who kills the healers first. If you manage to kill the enemy healers and your own healers manage to survive, THEN you go back and kill the enemy attackers.
Also: Healers tend to run away from their melees when they get attacked, instead of running TO them.
Also interesting observations: healers tend to stick together (prbly they feel safer or something ^^) so they all get dmg from aoe ^^
melee dps tends to run to their healers (prbly. to get their attention or something) when they get substantial dmg. this leading to the healers getting atention by the enemy dps ^^ nothing worse then having found a nice spot in a bush and your dps runs to you discovering your position ^^

Re: Scenario Tactics
Yeah when fighting with a premade I try to keep distance from the other healer mostly to avoid both of us getting hit by the same group stagger or kd. Having both heals next to each other is just asking for trouble

Re: Scenario Tactics
I take my Sword master right through their ranks. If they dont kill me coming in then too bad for them because I am on their casters now.
True as a sword master I tend to just get ignored a lot. I am not very dangerous and my main threat seem to be that I am as pretty as a sorceress and as graceful as a juggled Squig. But I make some noise until the Shaman's notice me.
Usually they just tell the SH to kill me which he does with ease. But until they see that I am a sword master, they are all like "Whoa whats this, Order all up in our grill, whoa". I sort of have to live for that spit second, its all I got .

Re: Scenario Tactics
from all i have read and seen its a pretty difficult balance. but i still feel that a strategy to take out healers will always win a SC/ORVR

Re: Scenario Tactics
Ofc
But it's a lot eaiser said than done, thier arnt enough classes with 50% In comming heal debuffs yet
Theirs a lot of cc and nothing like resolute defense in the game
And the melee range bug

Re: Scenario Tactics
i mostly order the Kobayashi Maru Maneuver when i go pugging. Works very nicely and we win all the time.

Re: Scenario Tactics
There isn't one strategy that will fit all situations. You need to re evaluate and make new decisions on what you are doing about every 5 seconds at the most.
For instance, you may be focusing and enemy healer, but your burst only got them to 10%, a guard got slapped on them, and they are receiving cross healing from multiple other healers. You don't keep chasing and hope that "this time I'll get them", and watch your entire team die trying to take down this one healer. You rotate to a different healer, or, because all the healers are occupied on keeping this one guy alive, a dps (or even tank) who has eaten some AoE damage and is sitting around at 50%. You may be able to pop them before the healers can react (or gain AP). etc...
