13 gold bags and 1 blue bag for subjugator weapons

13 gold bags only dedicated to genesis currency only, meaning you are giving up war crests from them, and per subjugator weapon...

Even i you take only genesis from blue bags, that means 20 to 40 blue bags, only for one lv 40 weapon. I'm not even sure you can drop that much blue bags doing RvR from level 1 to 40, and be "ready" to buy subjugator at the end (not to mention genesis set as well).

Speakin about luck, yes I admit for a very small number of people, genesis was hard to get, but that was before pieces were available on 3 colors of bags ; then we cannot speak about "unlucky" when 3 bags out of 5 can drop you the piece you seek for (and you could buy it for 15 guild coins too).

Even after that, subjugator was about 2 to 5 different pieces, depending on class, so it's 20 to 50% chance to get the one you want on each bag.

Ultimately, you could always exchange the gear you needed from the smuggler, and you only had to catch the subjugator piece (for fortress weapon) when it dropped after that.
You were not gated before from acquiring stuff.

Now, justifying a 5 to 10 times increase in needed bags by "now everyone is equal versus luck" is a bit... unfitting, to say the least.


Subjugator/genesis prices could be halved for that matters, and grind will still be equal or greater than before (probably even more considering amount of war crests you have now to give up, since bags dont contain gear pieces anymore).

I recently lvled two alts before change and got weapons within 2-3 bags on each char, and one set of genesis appeared in every bag. Also, having to use all of your bags for progression to genesis/sub takes away from taking the large amount of crests in the bags, people dont seem to understand this. Again, this is a change that hurts new players/making alts and I dont understand the reasoning.

Why is genesis still a separate currency? Just have them cost war crests.
