As of next patch, all pets:

- Move 50% faster
- Move 75% faster when you mount (for a total speed of 225, which just about lets them keep up given how NPC movement works atm)
- Are classed as group members for the purpose of group-affecting attacks
- Will receive 50% less damage from most sources of AoE

You are awesome, thank you. I can't wait to hit 26 with my WL now :>

Edit: Does that mean group heals will affect them, or just buffs?

There is a pet tactic to move faster.
The pet speed would be high enough to have basically a ranged snare. Adding pounce and charge (which originally works on the lion too) and you have way too many anti-kiter tools.
Unless you say that the speed buff does not more than compensating slow pet reactions and pathfinding. :)
Kill the lion? even with the 50% reduction against aoe you can still blow the poor cat up in a few seconds.

I'd suggest 33% speed increase instead of 50%. Sounds like good ideas though, let's see how will they work in practice.

Sounds great. Kudos to you.

Mutated energy?

Most maras dont even slot that on there toolbar? Its a desrupt chance on a class that never stacks willpower is so dam low that considering how high int gets on casters it rarely ever happens

its like giving a sorc a 10s disarms that requires parry, its great and all but come on...the odds of happening are pretty dam slim
Mutated Energy is a terrible skill, but unlike Brutal Pounce, you don't have to spec for it. Brutal Pounce is 7 points up the WL's most worthless tree.

Brutal Pounce is fine as is.

Play a WL and you will see how ridiculously slow the lion is. I'm very happy about those fixes Aza, nice work :D
Not trolling

If you read through this thread and my posts you will see that im well aware that wl is a flawed class and that it needs buffs

i stated that with the up coming changes would allow wl pets to have 100% move speed inc with speed training and az replied that its compensatory, and i was curious as to what exactly he ment by that
So you think because of the slow pet it would be fair for WLs to be obliged to slot a shitty tactic in order to make the pet even remotely useful? Even if it would be theoretically possible for the pet to have 1xx % movement speed with this tactic after the fix still no WL would ever slot it.

Correct. I never slotted this on live, ever.

I played with Speed training from time to time. The speed buff from Speed Training is so significant and impactful, that I don't think this is a good change. 33% should be enough.

Speed training was mandatory with old Leo Frenzy, and I played it before Force Opportunity buff as an Axeman/Guardian.

I'm sure the devs will adjust the movement speed if it's "too much". I still don't know why you would slot speed training but if that was your thing and it worked for you, then good. That's why there's chocolate and vanilla ice cream in this world
