Don't get me wrong I am sure there are varying degrees of bombing skill; but as a whole it is a montonous playstyle that reaps maximum reward for little risk and user input.
There is no serious competitive wb scene or this server as far as I have seen (not enough wb focused guilds to support such a scene). Bombing pugs "for lols" and by that coming to the conclusion that skill is more or less irrelevant is lols indeed. Stomping pugs with ST assisttrain is equally monotonous with maximum reward for minimum risk and user imput. Back on live guilds had set wb vs wb events just as smaller guilds had 6 vs 6. Both smallscale and largescale requires skill, altough the skill required is different.

Wait Marsares, are you suggesting RvR which promotes brain over brawn? You daft **********.
Anyways, I still believe RvR should indeed be about a "main force" (24 man warbands) being aided by and cooperating with "auxiliaries" (6 mans, kiting groups, scouts). As I said in another topic; a RvR system that is inviting to multiple playstyles is preferred for the good of the server.

I played on Eltharion, KN and KA and was very familiar with guilds such as RG/VII etc and their WB setups. Kings Own are probably the best WB guild on the server currently. Sorry if I offended you, mate, but those are just my personal beliefs and I have never really been impressed by bombing - regardless of who is doing it.
anyway i shall stop going off on a tangent as per what bretin said.

No offense taken. I personally prefer 6 man or less over WBs. I did however play the first 2 years on live mostly in WB sized guilds.

are mind bugling to say the least.

Blobbing as 14man is something new to me. Anyway, that's low. Not going to dispute over the out of place BO's explanation and ST=AOE equality fantasy any longer, kinda pointless atm.

but seriously, whose fault is it that 24 man can't silence/kockdown/kick back, 4 bws? The bws or the 24 man wb?

AOE can be toned down in different ways: by making it less powerful (read: nerf) or by making it less relevant (read: spreading the blob through different zone mechanics). Which one did I advocate and where is the discrepancy?
Apologies on the guild thing. That was low indeed, I take that back.

You PM'd me yesterday saying you had 5 full groups, and wanted us to blob on top of you?

I have nothing against making it less relevant with various zone-campaign mechanichs, only against direct AOE nerfs/ST buffs and the myth that ST is more skillbased

I had 3groups, Beavers had 2 nearby and I invited you to join us in the 3-way ambush vs PF+pugs near tavern. Was really surprised that you refused :C

But that would just be your opinion. I personally find 6v6 extremely boring myself. Assisting, kiting, assisting, running away, assisting, chasing, assisting, kiting some more, zzzz. But I'm not going to tell you that what you love to do "requires no skill".
