As a melee WP player I have to disagree.

The super tanky and tank-friendly stuff on melee WP comes from the grace tree. If the new ability would replace the grace tree M4, that would be a whole different story. But as we know, the new ability is at 15 points in the wrath tree, so a WP has to abandon all the goodies from grace tree to get it.

DoK on the other hand gets a nice buff in a tree that was pretty good even before the buff.

In other words:
- A gimped WP spec line now becomes somewhat playable, but still meh.
- A good DoK spec line now becomes really good.

To be honest, you don't need a pounce or a pull when you now have a 50% speed boost gap closer on a 30 sec. cooldown instead.
(on top of providing a snare-proc covenant to the entire group)

If a wrath WP wants to rack up some impressive damage numbers, he'll spec "Soulfire" and "Guilty Soul". Both happen to be AOE DOT abilities. Hint: You apply Guilty Soul DoTs by spamming the wrath AOE ability "Smite".

If you keep spamming those during the entire scenario (zerg-heavy Battle for Praag is perfect) you'll end up with >300k damage but 0 kills. That's what we call fluff damage.
Im afraid you missed context. My statement was related to screen of 6vs6 fight with two good teams and experienced dps wp who for sure was not spamming aoe to pump his fake numbers but all dps he did came from single target.

I disagree with this. The heal difference between these 2 is small in my eyes. However dps
DoK does at least 30% more dps than WP... I think WP could still use a little more damage to further balance these 2.

I couldnt care less and given 50% of your posts on this forum have been in the thread whining about a class you dont play getting something Im starting to get irked.

In the same way that Volgograd hasnt singly resulted in getting the IB nerfed or Svarz getting every class he plays nerfed is that the top players are not indicative of a classes function at its core, a good player can make any turd shine, a really good player can do even more.

So.... you made your point.... repeatedly, now go and get some proof... or dont

I strongly advise you not to post in this thread again.
Just looked like he was replying to someone who had directly quoted him, and explained his argument to him in the context of the screenshot he posted. But hey-ho, things change, game changes. We all keep playing.

I tested the Scent of Blood today on my MDoK. I was skeptical at first when reading the patch notes, but after playing 3-4 SC's for about an hour it was pretty fun and refreshing change for the DoK.

I ran a 3 man SC group w/ 2 friends, a lowbie chosen and a gud' shaman. The first 3 SCs we got lucky and joined with another well renowned destro SC premade so they were smooth sailing, and I was using Scent of Blood offensively almost every time.

The last SC, which i have a video of below, we were on the run most of the SC and against a tough order premade (Klinger's Regiment). My MDoK is also only rr46, so i had to sacrifice a decent number of abilities in mastery to get Scent of Blood, hence the fluff damage.

Overall, i think a good start for making MDoK more viable in group, as before this change it was less. RT what Ripliel said. Cheers.

As a healer it is very easy to heal through the damage of a Dps WP as opposed to a WL, SW or any other dps on order.

I'm liking what you guys are doing with the 15 pointers at the tops of the trees. It helps break the spec orthodoxy up a bit and bring new stuff into the game. I'm hoping there are plans to top off all of the trees with abilities rather than M4s.

That’s cool to see that WP dps will ne more usefull. We will see if the changes are balanced or not.
Nice to see that you’re keep working to Lake every trees usefull.
You’ll havé some works with SM’ Vaul’s tree :mrgreen:
