Sorry my friend, but it only takes a single bad AoE Choppa to cause a loss.

The first engagement in any scenario is the most important as it sets the momentum for the rest of the scenario. Most scenarios are won or lost in that first engagement. The number of Choppas that will use the GtdC speed boost in the first engagement to run in and tag as many enemies as possible with a 1ft pull is far higher than the ones that don't. I've been watching it happen for years and purposefully look out for it now; if they do, I won't guard them.

If a Choppa joins a scenario in their AoE blob spec then they're better off dead as they'll do less harm. 2h is for scenarios, but that requires learning more than 3-button AoE blob play, which most (not saying you) are not willing to do.

Not saying there are not other factors such as 2h tanks and lack of assist to contend with as well, but Order suffers from those same issues too. AoE Choppas are a purely Desto problem that has no solution beyond hoping they die quickly before they cause too much disruption.
I feel you. Same with SM aoe punt. Always right at the start and for no reason at all. Atleast Choppas are lost in the ecstasy of attempting to do dmg. And a bit of habbit from the lakes. SM's i cannot fathom for the life of me.

That's not my experience the last 2 weeks. Has anyone got a link to the SC / rvr lake stats Google Spreadsheet?

I have been trying to get similar information from the killboard GraphQL but I have not had the time to get further into it.
I would say that it does align with my observation too.
Some numbers that you may want to look into as well are :
  • - backdate the numbers to the date the patch was released and then compare them to the week before, if possible, to estimate the impact of the patch
    - surrender rates are not accurate because matches that would qualify for a surrender actually end before the losing team is allowed to surrender.
    - the number of matches where the winning team has 100/200/300/400 points more than the losing team
    - which scenarios are more likely to have bigger score gaps, which may indicate that the scoring system for that match is not good (snowballing?)
    - the average RR difference between teams (this is something that I have tried to look into a lot as I think it is a strong driver of what you are observing)
    - the average kills per scenario and compare them to difference in average RR as the previous metric.
A more complex metric would be to generate some ELO value based on the gear of the participants, generate an average and compare it between the two teams, but it would probably require a lot of API calls and you may get throttled or flagged as malicious.
Checked the T4 SCs.
Ran last 500 SCS first. Mean/average renown rank (RR) was 75.2 (Order) Vs. 74 (Destro), then ran last 1000 scs total of 23k records, (2 172 individual characters).
Average RR was order 75.2, destro 74.2.

By my experience, SC state mirrors oRvR state. If order dominates in lakes, SC q full of destro, if destro dominates in lakes, SC q full of order. If you are on doninating side in oRvR - solo q will be painfull unless you join in 3-5 men party.

Start of weekend - spike CCU - SC start to be more random, at least not the same people from both sides.

Wave obsession with new weapons fades, #1 to get new - destro, #2 to get new - order. Every event first 2-3 days total destro tide at EU prime time.

Good work my Order bros.

Keep laying it to ‘em.

No pity, no mercy.
Brynnoth Goldenbeard (40/80) (IB) -- Rundin Fireheart (40/50) (RP) -- Ungrinn (40/40) (Engi)-- Bramm Bloodaxe (40/83) (Slayer) and a few Empire characters here or there, maybe even an elf.

I have 3 80s on each side so I don't buy into the whole realm pride cheese, but having one side winning 50%+ more SCs for a 60/40 split is harmful to queue times which sucks for everyone.

I know for me, I just got tired of the unjustified nerfs to my destro classes. Why was sac stab, an already barely useful skill, nerfed so hard(It needed a buf, not a nerf, and sov +2 skill is for that tree, so I cant make a withbrew/onyourknees build. Give sac stab its full arm pen back and make the snare always 10 seconds)? DPS DoK is like DPS WP but without all the spirit damage, without 15% arm pen tactic, doesnt have a 2h, 1 less tactic because it's heal debuff still needs one.... and it lacks the good skills that DPS WP has in general.

So ive just been playing my WL a lot

I hate leveling characters, but since they have made DPS DoK crap and there is no build that I like on WE anymore, I'd play a Murader if the Devs gave me a BiS one...
