almost every class have some kind of weaknesses.
often it's from mechanics. that you can overcome with control/manage.
after conquering that weakness you become... something.
but want that stage with 1 item? nope.

Honestly as a WP you don't really need it. If the combat is light enough you can just supplicate, if it's heavy you can use your AOE smite that can easily give you 120 RF+ with a single click. Obviously if you're standing away from the front that becomes a problem. But WP have better armour than other order healers and are able to take at least somewhat of a beating. In organised WB play you should be between the tank/melee line and the ranged DPS line to catch both with Martyr's Blessing.

All your suggestions are ok and I know them but....
We come from two different worlds. You guys talk about blob and I play duo-trio-6man.
1. fueled action - totally useless, playing in small party you keep max distance 90-150 feet.
2. smite/essence lash - doesn't work for the same reason as above.
3. Dmg proc breaks detaunt just like chosen magic backlash aura.
4. Fueled action is not the best dok tactic.
Aoe cleanse, discpiline and 2 x convenant tactic. I haven't found a better set of tactics so far.
5. yes, of course i use 7 sov bonus - 30 SE regen.
you dont necessarily have to stay at max distance. If you use sov you should be tanky enough to take some beating to proc your tactic or smite a few targets... And if all fails you still have an aoe detaunt and transfer essence.
Dok has to make a choice. Either aoe detaunt or being useful to the group. After nerfing aoe detaunt tactics the choice for me is obvious. Bloodthirst + Potent Convenants is the best combo for your party. Especially now after patch when "proc" stack with dmg increasing bonuses. Literally choppa can hit convenant of celerity every 1-2 sec for up to 560 (max rage + flanking).
That's why I always thought that the best defense is not getting any damage at all. I always stand 90-100 feet behind my damage dealers.
Only this base SE regen is a bit too low compared to original server.
Potent Covenants was nerfed to not work on party members ages ago when proc meta ruled the world. Now I have no idea if this is still the case as the wiki is outdated on many things so can't really relay on that, but I don't remember a patch note that said it was reverted so I've assumed it's still a thing all this time. Would love to be proven wrong, even if the tactic won't be as strong as it was back then because of the ICD. Bloodthirst is still good on its own and a viable choice especially in smaller scale or double dok.

So you don't run the AP tactic? Why? Its the best tactic that chalice dok has.

On the topic, Dok/WP Resource Regen is fine. Essence Lash provides you with more than enough SE regen in 24v24 combined with the nerfed sov/onslaught proc, just position yourself correctly and remember that you have 4k+ armor you ain't that squishy even without detount. In small scale Sc, I prefer shield spec, Doks St healing sucks with chalice. In orvr group ganking, you don't need to heal spam so SE regen shouldn't be a problem and you're usually at max range so stopping for a while to regen isn't too bad. In Forts/Zerg there are obviously SE problems so Fueled actions is pretty much a must and helps a bit.
