For starting players I think there is a danger of leveling too fast with the changes to quest exp.OldSparky wrote: Mon Sep 03, 2018 5:22 pm As far as my experience goes PQs are a good way to get some gold here and there (aside from high-end talisman/potion/material trading) but they are also a good way to get some decent gear for use if you don't feel like doing PvP at the time.
PQS are a good way of slowing it down and making money if you don't have an alt to fund your journey

Thats my way. Lvlup a bit to rank 5-7 with quests and scs, pick butchering from chapter 2 NPCs and farm those boars or wolfs (doing same time scs) and by rank 16 I usually collect 20-50g. Later you dont really need gold cause u change gear so fast that using blue/purple talis is waste of gold. At anni/merc range any animals spot gives 70-100g per hour assuming you sell all mats to vendor, same with items except purples - they goes to AH. That works with any class properly speced.Darks63 wrote: Mon Sep 03, 2018 5:03 pm Butchering can be lucrative whenyou sell all the trash mats that drop plus the gear. Hold on to blues and purples that drop and sell them on the ah.
