since this was reverted due to the Patch, wouldn't trolling the Lair Bosses just to KS the loot roll be considered an Exploit at this point?

I would say no. While it was a change we made for fairness, the change only applied to Lair Bosses. Last-Hit kill contribution is a valid mechanic not only used in many other games, but also used extensively in this game, even post-fix. It's always been a **** move, but it's not an exploit.

Everyone, just make sure you have as much burst damage as you can in order to combat the KS'ers for now.

No, but MagicThigs mentioned that Github was saying in Server Announcement something to the tune on "abusing bugs introduced in patches is considered exploiting"

so I just wanted to clarify this particular piece.
