Don't think the crashes are tied to performance/hardware at all.
Plenty of times I have crashed while alt tabbed afking in the zerg at a keep D or whatever.

They're not. They're packet related.

As I understand it, the client crashes when it receives a certain type of malformed packet, and doesn't know how to handle it.
We're working on figuring out which packet specifically causes the problem and under which circumstances. This is difficult to reproduce though - sometimes the client soft disconnects, sometimes it freezes.

I've had random crashes to desktop while not even being near high concentrations of players, mostly just in Altdorf. Funnily enough I haven't had a single 'soft' disconnect by which players/NPCs disappear around you for two weeks; it's always an instant, unexpected crash to desktop.

Soft disconnections were fixed, it was a race condition in the packet system.

and I my comp should not be the issue then most people would have theese issues...
CPU: Skylake 6700k
16GB of RAM
2x NVIDIA 970 in SLI
Boot on SSD and game on a WD black edition.
Have nearly the same, runs fine max anywhere, except medium-large RvR fights.
Switch to fastest framerate in ORvR, and you'll very rarely crash. Seems to be client side for most crashes ( except the warband/party crashes )

I pretty much only crash doing keep sieges in Empire, Chaos, and Elf keeps (Dwarf and Greenskin is fine).
I "usually" don't crash, but when I finally do crash, I crash all the time, though (About every 5-10 mins). It only happens when there's a lot of activity, such as +150 players.

Massive crashes are happen now more frequently but is there bright side of that we dont need so much server restarts due to lag maybe hidden devs tool ?
