Didn't mean to offend you. It was an honest question; I haven't tested CD on RoR which is why i asked if you had. Better if tested with a friend who can tell you if his chance to be crit increased (if it did, the BG would benefit as well) and also check if the BG crits the target more often.

Even if the BG doesn't benefit from CD, it still hits pretty hard and benefits everyone else. Still, i prefer a 5 sec KD.

Oh no offence taken, I am just passionate about bringing the BG in line with the other tanks, and frustrated when I am being rebuked on a subject I have put countless hours becoming knowledgeable on. Sorry if my tone came off as pissy.

Ever since Paul B's Youtube video on the black guard, I wanted to play one, they were a lot more terrible at launch ( well a little after launch)...no armour debuff, no toughness buff. weird scaling on some abilities, the did lose some of their unique abilities though (ability to stop ALL morale gain, and they had an impressive disorient (increasing all cast times by 1 second!).

I just foresee a lot of red tape in the future as we try to get buffs to the BG.

Originally there was no true mirror to the IB, the mechanic was similar, but a lot of the mirroring came in after (Dark Protector, buffs to DP etc.)

On the PTS server, I was able to ask some devs questions about it at the time. Nev and I had been testing it with some other theorycrafters concerning optimizing BGs. He did alot of the number crunching, we only got a response from the dev after we were done (figures). We had three number sets, one with CD up, one with it down, and one with a static 10% crit as control...in a sample set of 10k attacks each. I was under the impression that CD originally buffed the BG, and he disagreed, and was very thorough at proving me wrong.

I have no qualms with it working this way, but as far as I know, that is not the way it worked on live.

Do you actually have _any_ proof besides the classic "I played a BG on live, and I know for a fact that on live..." which noone gives a f*ck about? Tooltip does not say 'except you' in its wording. Neither does the word "others" exclude yourself actually if you ask me. Its just another case of horrible wording we see with many skills form mythic. But I for example also 'played BG on live and say italways debuffed for me too' hurrdurr. What now?
