Because of whole point of the topic is healers being boring to play. I suggest trying hard-to-position healers for more engaging experience. Shaman doesn't have to run his defensive tactics and even shouldn't do that. Why would you need to spend a tactic slot which helps you position while you play vs faction, that forgives mispositioning? It's either you running away vs permaslowed order blob (which can be done without any tactic help) or you getting WL pounced on your head (which might result in you dying regardless of your tactic choice, depends on situation).

It's just nice to have an option as a healer to slot one of the best defensive tactics in the game on a faction, that doesn't really struggle with positioning, that's all I am saying. Since AM doesn't have that option and has to play vs destro CC, I suggest OP to try it. He can always reroll different side or quit healing altogether. Sometimes people just don't enjoy certain roles and that's ok

I can relate, that’s why i used to play only shield spec heals, and skipped other heal specs.
Focusing on party health bars is just not interesting for me, and now I enjoy playing tanks as a support role.
