Stop worrying about player levels or items. It's pointless.

Number of players is by far much more of an issue. By order of magnitude.

Well it didn't work on live T4 so ...
On live T4 you entered with r40 rr70+, so what is your point? :P

I clarified what I wrote in first post as you misinterpreted it

Some observations not saying you are wrong :D

1. Surprisingly many premades actually promoted same queue as they could grind RR/SC-weapons quickly and was afraid to be starved of pops

2. I've seen premades crumble to randoms many times when the opposition was equal in RR / gear and group was balanced. You'd be surprised how often that happened

ok ok ;)

1. Yes that there are premades who want to farm randoms, no doubt. One more argument in favor of no premades in randoms queue ;)

2. Premades are not euqal to win always against randoms of course, but it generates so much hatred and grief, often randoms refuse prematurely to play at all in a sc when they think there is a premade on the other side etc. etc. often its more a psychological thing of course. IMHO a random only and a premade only queue will solve many many issues. As to not popping: if premade queue is promoted right, pops wont be a problem, as long as the population is healthy. In Rift we fought like for 3 years for a premade queue, trion made it finally but the population (especially pvp guilds, pvp premades) had already wandered off, and so the premade queue didnt work. (and also i think in rift the premade queue didnt grant any progression/gear, which was another letdown).

Too many side-effects when the main cause of all them can be reduced to a simple argument:

Like 80% of the players would agree in this. Once the balance of numbers is back, probably we could think in premades and so. So far the biggest problem can be reduced to a single word: ZERG.

Premade queues are a fine idea. Bloodline Champions did something similar; solo matchmaking queues (random) versus team ladders.

yes i agree, but the problems with the number balance lies in the queue system itself. its totally screwed by design by mythic as it allows a balanced sc to become unbalanced during fight and it allows an unbalanced sc to start in the first place.

Ofc same number on both sides are top priority but ther are several ways a 6vs6 can be totally unbalanced

2 tanks/2 heal/2 dps will always win over 6 of same class
2 tanks/2 heal/2 dps all RR70-89 will always lose to 2 tanks/2 heal/2 dps RR90+

Setting up good balanced SCs must adress those as well. On live as in ROR you know you'd lost simply by looking at the scoreboard during start timers

The Irony was this was blocked not by randoms on live but by premades

And the developers actually listened to pressure from them, knowing full well the motivation was to crush inferior opposition for ego?
