Increasing drop rates is something they have already done in the past, going to assume it doesn't take much effort on their part. I could be wrong though.

Would be nice to just see drop rates for scenarios and parties+warbands to be brought to 15% (greens), blues being 2% drop chance, and purples 0.2%. A 5% drop rate for scenarios is insane when the average amount of kills for the winning team is often under 20. After a week or two this should kill the ridiculous blue item prices (Well itemized woe weapons can run 30-100g right now), while still keeping purple rare and desirable. Now you average player can realistically get into whatever green/blue items they want with a little effort on their part, and if they decide they want to... they can grind out for the upgrade to runescribed (which will actually be on the market). And with realistic drop rates, they can trade up to those items by participating in trading... which will in turn make items easier for everyone to obtain.

by saying this you contradict yourself.

and what the hell, are you guys really so addicted to blues/purple items you need to compete in pvp? greens are really enough to be succussfull. this greed of the majority of players is getting prevail.

greens droprate in RVR is 14% and a little less in SC, blues have under 5% or so. so the rates are decent

U are right sir! Many ppl think this game is Diablo (read item grinder).
The endgame has literally turned into that, and that's what people DON'T like, the whole point of these threads is to move away from that. But people like Elratie always come post in them that "things are fine" when they are most certainly not.

Many of the people in my guild play Path of Exile (A Diablo 2 clone) and we honestly feel like the amount of trading we have to do in warhammer is about the same as in that game.

We just want realistic avenues to obtain better gear for our characters, if you look at the current drop rates and think "Ya I can get the items I want" you are beyond all hope.

i have to agree with that ... one of the major points of playing a mmo is to gear up :( and argue with "if you are good you can also paly good with greens" well then you are very easy to satisfy

My concern here would be that people would start trying to farm each other in scenarios. I was honestly going to change SC rewards so that gear would drop for each individual player at the end, with rates depending on both the length of the scenario and the scoreline - since I don't believe there's enough incentive to actually win SCs right now. I'd rather not boost gear drops from SC kills as that provides still further incentive to play SCs as miniaturized ORvR maps.

I provided the wrong value, btw - the ORvR droprate modifier is x10, so it's 20% green, 1% blue and 0.05% purple.

Would it be possible to just create a vendor w/ woe and runescribed / murderers / Slaughterer, and then allow players to buy the gear w/ scouts medallions? And have them drop for SC's and players?

A sort of precursor to the real SC vendors?

Since medallions already drop from keeps, adding them to players as well would make it so people who don't like scenarios wouldn't have to partake, and still be able to benefit from the vendors.

The only problem I could see w/ that idea is how it would effect the current, albeit broken economy. Or if anyone would even care, or if warhammer should even have an "economy'. On live I remember the only thing gold was good for was crafting and dyes which could hardly be called an economy.

If you could also make medallions part of the keep defense reward that would keep people from just letting keeps go for free. I played quite a bit of ORvR on this server and the usual strategy right now is to ALWAYS let STK get taken for free unless you happen to have your WB near ruins, and to take mandreds while the other side is taking STK. Not many people like the current defense rewards.

And if you were to add a vendor it would use scouts medallions right? And would we be able to keep the ones we already have obtained from keeps? Or would they be wiped?

It is a non issue right now, you can be competitive in vendor and calamitous gear, if your not then chances are you will suck even with a blue/purp setup.
