This. Exactly this. This is why I'm so scared of the small increases in RR-caps when T4 comes out. People are gonna max out on their Order toon the first week, because... 5 RRs. Then they'll log Destro and do the same there the next week, because 5 RRs. Rinse repeat.

The poll is around 7months old. There will be changes to RvR, but I doubt they will just make something like the live versions, as they had massive downsides, and most likely won't work here.

Exactly what happened in the first year of WAR... a lag fest dominated by PBAoE classes like BWs and Sorcs, making all other dps classes obsolete in the grand scheme of things. We/WH, (back then there were no slayers and choppas), Wls and Maras, SH and SWs all took a back seat to the BWs master race. At least in scenarios, the other classes had a meager chance though even back then AoE did a **** ton of damage, as well as WP AoE heals did a crap ton of healing. :geek:
lol. No thats not how it looked. Sorcs and BW didn't spec for pboae builds back then. It was all about RoF and PoS. Marauders were also extremly OP due to no CC immunities and not AoE hit caps. (Perma kd). Same thing with Magus. 2 Maguses could Rift the entire oposing realm in 1 spot almoast permanently. SW had a really good AoE build back then as did SH. WE and WH had much more purpose back then aswell as dmg was 90% Targeted/Location AOE not PBAOE. Sneaking into the backlines and killing BW and Sorcs.

damage in t4 gona fall down, the aoe for exemple will make lower damage, as atm you alredy have capped aoe path and so damage curve will increase less from this point while ppl toughness will raise togheter with some avoidance.

This ol' poll is about what RvR system did YOU enjoy the most and it just shows what ppl liked.

What RvR system devs decide to go for is a completely different topic.

Personally I wouldn't be so quick at dismissing the old systems. Compared to a brand new untested theory craft alternative they all have known pros and cons and can be improved with a few tweaks. Several of them worked quite well for years. This is shades of grey not black and white.

I vote for WAR: Multiple zones victory points locks from doing PVE, SC and BOs/keeps (patch 1.0 - 1.2)

Alteration / Addition as follows:-
1: Keep with the VP system with one slight change. Remove the SC out of the points system as these led to toons sitting afk at WC waiting for pop affecting aao renown etc.

2: Instead of just being numerical Victory Points. Have actual real physical rewards for doing the PVE linked into the Old World, not just the PQuests, the additional stories that are going on in game.
For instance, In West Praag have the warpwind engineers down in the canon mines as a capturable entity (a BO). The side who claims these mines will then allow their sides to have use of siege canons, have more of them, buff / nerfs to siege weapons etc. etc.
Another i.e. up in BC, aiding or defeating the Oathbearers will enlist additional / less npc guards for either side. have a mechanic that spawns stunties who have to fight their way through a chaos horde. The successors then gains additional / stronger npc keep guards and defeat means weaker npc keep guards.

there was good system with scenarios: if sc. not pop up then points just add into victory-meter after 10-15 min.

Ahh yeah thats right forgot about that one :)
You still needed to que with your realm tho and if other realm didn't have a team for 10min you gained VP as if you won scenario :)
Even more reason to chose this system :D
