At least, I hope don't see so frakin much SW in the game now, beacuse it's really boring getting in SCs with 8 SWs and 1 healer.
Under M2 it was able to crit up to 6k here in tier 3, meaning oneshot to the 70% of classess.
SH strong at T2 and T3, but only because pet. At T4 where amounts of armor becomes incredible (even for cloth wearers), also add here def/off procs (unavialible for pets), squig can be ignorable and herder faces with low base damage of his skills. And pretty fast spending AP with no possibility to regen it faster, not like SW with his Ap-regen skill and tactic

Also last i checked SW's were pretty dam indiscriminate about who they fester bombed
Also once again you cant really tell who the SW is targetting till the attack hits neither nore can you tell what attack their using since all the ranged animations look the same

Why are people complaing about the choppa Spin to win? I could have sworn no one ever specced into it

Just saw this and had a few thoughts:
1. One shotting is stupid. Shouldn't be in a pvp game. That being said, it is also hilarious and addictive and great for the those double guarded, pocket healed K/D heroes. Yeah, I know troll spec. There is a reason that enchanted arrows was broken every other patch on live.
2. Fester balance in t3 vs t4 is entirely different. It was way worse in the T3 balance. I tried it for about a day before the patch and even with my ungeared SW I was 1 shotting on almost every crit. T4 required a lot more finesse, you would have to work the crit and power procs. Even then it only really could 1 shot unguarded glass cannons (still not right but still hilarious).
3. The problem never was enchanted arrows, it is unshakable focus plus enchanted arrows. UF is the real culprit that has plagued PRDPS damage normalization and armor resist. This is really a squig and rifle engie problem too. That balance is better in T3 (i.e. no armour pots). T4 it will be the same problem for PRDPS as always. In my opinion, the crazy M2 burst you can pull with PRDPS is what has always held the class back from having normalized damage in T4.
4. I would prefer balance changes around T4 but I having seen how Fester was performing in T3 I think this makes sense as a band-aid fix. Unfortunately, the tactic will be largely useless in T4 - it was borderline spec to begin with and certainly not optimal. I would have liked to see EA replaced with a piercing bite mirror (working properly to be bound to stance locked abilities only) to offset the stance locking downside like our marauder stance cousins.
5. Put it in perspective. Anyone remember the era of 45ft skirmish shadow warriors being the only viable spec? SW's without the increased range tactic and pitiful damage requiring you to use the close quarters 25% damage bonus. No self punt. No speed procs. No weaponskill tactic. 2 minute vengeance tied abilities. Staying alive was 3/4 of the battle. No tears for losing enchanted arrows. It didn't even work for the majority of the time the live servers were up and SW's have had it far far worse.

Why not keep the game as it was on live ? We all came back to play THIS game, not a new one...
We all missed this game so much, I don't see the point in changing it to deeply.
Moreover trying to balance things like that before testing the T4, is a bad start. Makes me fear the worst for the futur.
If the rules change too much it won't be the same game anymore.

You are a veteran of war, so is pretty much everyone else here weve all been to end game, we know how it truns out, we know what classes are op, up and broken theirs no need to wait till t4 cause ofter t4 people will say oh we need, full rr, or oh we need full sov first etc etcKoha wrote:Why not keep the game as it was on live ? secondly no one here wants a carbon copoy of what live was, which was a collosal buggy mess unless you feel that this game needs bugged lotd items that broke game balance, or that white lions pounce should go back on working only every 5th time you used it or all the bugged and broken mara tactics
