rested xp is really a good thing. but i understand people who dont want to level so fast (especially with your first char you might want to experience the whole tier get all influence etc.)
perhaps its possible to make it optional and implementing the gui for it via an addon?

Re: Changelog 08.12.2015
wont be better have pairing influence rather than zone influence?, can suck if you powerlevel but that way ppl that want influence would recive first influence for t1-t2 and only when those are complete for t3. Or allow a % to overflow directly in lower influence.
Anyway it seems to be that the only reason to want a old influence is the purple chalice/book issue
It should be also a purple chalice/book in t3 with same stats but better due the itiem level and another one in t4 so if we could have it the complain about influence need would stop.

As I understand, you get more rested XP boost the longer the character stays logged off, and it accumulates if not used up. Perhaps a chat command to reset this number to 0? It's not the most convenient to use, but it'd serve the purpose to not force people into powerlevelling their characters. And as far as I know, it'd be easy to implement too.

Oo..I like this idea. It would be nice to have a command that resets the rested xp, like /resetrested or something.
But
Let me see if I understand something,
The same people that DO NOT want /xp off because it would "kill" the lower tiers are okay with the rested xp bonus? Uh, way to contradict yourselves. Allowing people to PL themselves past t1-t2 also kills the lower tiers, nimrods.
Re: Changelog 08.12.2015
With or without a XP bonus, those players will still skip the lower tiers. Suggestion: Just let people play in the tier they want by implementing a debolster (similar to the one in Return to Ekrund Live Event).
Now, i know what you are gonna say: "But Penril, those players had higher level gear with powerful procs that broke T1". This can be fixed easily: Remove the current chicken mechanic and replace it with:
- A debolster to level 11 (T1), 21 (T2)
- A mechanic that turns you into a chicken only if you use gear above a certain level (example: enter T1 with a weapon that requires you to be level 25).
This might be too much work though and obviously not a priority at the moment. But maybe in the future...

I like this idea~ But, how is it any different than /xp off? I would still be able to roll new players if I just buy bloody or blood soaked, lair etc gear and use it no?Penril wrote:With or without a XP bonus, those players will still skip the lower tiers. Re: Changelog 08.12.2015
Debolster is already being considered. The issues that Renork raises are the reasons a naive debolster hasn't been implemented yet.
Re: Changelog 08.12.2015
how about: debolster and deequip any gear not apropriate for you debolster level?
(so actually: just set the REAL level of the player to the max level of the tier he is in if he has a higher one). That way any skill or any gear higher then that level will be unusable automatically. Will also solve talisman etc. problems.

Re: Changelog 08.12.2015
Maybe debolster can also limit the gear you wear. Let's say, you are debolstered to level 1 but turn into a chicken if wearing any gear other than Vengeance (T1 renown gear). Debolster to level 21 but turn into a chicken if wearing anything other than Conquest gear.
I mean, the game checks your level everytime you enter a lower tier RvR zone. If it could check your gear then there would be no issue whatsoever with twinks.

Re: Changelog 08.12.2015
As Renork pointed out, people would still twink heavily (lair weapons, helmet, etc). It would be better to just limit them to renown gear.Tiggo wrote:how about: debolster and deequip any gear not apropriate for you debolster level?
