Alternatively, decreasing the XP gain from mob kills would provide the same effect. Less emphasis on grinding the same respawning mobs, more emphasis on exploring the world and finding broken things that can be fixed.

Leave the RvR rewards at a high level of course, to encourage the core of the game.
if xp gain from pve kills get decreased no one will do any sort of pve anymore since you will gain more xp in rvr then.

With the next patch, after some internal testing, the "Kill 150 Players" quests will be reworked slightly. They will now require killing 50 of each enemy race, and will reward 5 medallions upon completion. Two new quests (and quest givers) will be added to the Tier 3 Empire/Chaos warcamps to provide tier-appropriate rewards.
This sounds like a really good plan to me! :)

I feel that this will shift the focus of the game even more towards SCs and less toward open world rvr.

Live had a great system, open world for armor, SCs for weapons. It encouraged both aspects of the game, you ran SCs to get your emblems for your weapons. You played oRvR for armor.

As it stand, SCs give both rewards, armor (medals) and weapons (emblems). While open world only gives medals. SCs are also a much more efficient way of finding and killing people.

The quest will only further slant the rewards toward SCs. Kill quests complete very quickly when running SCs. By hitting a button you have 6 - 12 people to kill (often times instantly). With open world you have to actively try to find others to fight and there is often long down times between fights.

Please incentivize oRvR at the same rate as SCs. Remove medals from SCs and make the kill quests for medals oRvR only. People will still run SCs for weapons, which is already enough of an incentive.

they cant incentivize oRvR becouse orvr is broken and noone knows what to do with it. endless zergfest and taking empty keeps (that are hard enough to defend cos of some not working elements) is far from orvr

Please reconsider the reward of this quest. As it is open rvr area locks give 0/2 medallions and if you add this quest Scenarios will be the most efficient way to farm them. Warhammer Online had the open rvr system that separated it from other scenario pvp mmorpg's. I would hate to see this turn into yet another mundane instanced pvp orientated game among many.

fighting on BO or keeps gives way more medallions. Forming a 6-12 man and taking the fight to the lakes is the easiest means of getting medallions, what doesn't reward players is zerging empty lakes, and so SCs are more profitable then zerging.

Grouping with a 12 people in an oRvR group you have an 8% to win a medal. With the drop rate of 20% every 200 kills you would get about 40 medals. If you split 40 medals 12 ways everyone in the group would get 3-ish medals a night. If all the killing is being done at keeps/BOS, it's 6 medals a night with the doubled drop rate.

Soloing with a 20% drop rate you need 20 klils to get the same amount of medals a 12 man needs 200 to get.

I think SCs and oRvR should be incentivized separately from each other. I'd love to see Medals coming from oRvR and Emblems coming from SCs.

SCs are easier to grind and are a more effective way of farming, especially if a quest was added that required you to kill 50 of each race type.

People would have a "reason" to run both SCs and oRvR than.
