Games like WAR are designed to be played as a group. Classes are there to support each other. This isn't a single player game.
Gear/renown/comp/ect does make a big difference. A Sorc with 800 int is going to be able to drop someone a lot easier than one with 400 int. A guarded Choppa/Slayer with WL/Mara armor debuffing for them is going to hit a lot harder than a solo one.
Even bad premades who barely communicate on VoIP can beat up pugs if they have good comps. 2 healers, Guards vs a team that might not even have a healer.
I don't think any premade feels accomplished beating disorganized pugs, especially if your running a double premade. Let's not pretend a pug has a chance if they have a bad comp (no healer/1 healer)sub 20s/ect.
That being said, if your plugging SCs and you know your going to lose in my opinion it's better to just jump down die and get it over with instead if afking for 15 minutes.
Roaming RvR > SCs anyway

At this level you get max stat differences of 100 mb.
That's not that much. (Yes it isn't if you belive it is, you prolly one of the ppl running brute force over flanking)
Let me try this:
Large gear gap: wf/df to rr80 souvereign etc.
Almost no gear cap: Sentry+good jewels/belt/talis to sentry with medium jewels/belts/talis.

I've been in lots of SCs where I inspect people and they don't have talis in their gear. They have lvl 12 - 18 crap greens, ect.
I'm not saying, skill, communication and playing as a group aren't important. I'm saying gear helps a lot too.
I view building a character as being a good player too tho. Knowing how to template and itemize your class to get the most out of it is a key part of MMOs.

I don't play RoR since a long time, but every time I have played a SC I was with some terrible - no healer and 2h melee dude against a perfect premade.
Now, I am a RDPS so I can at least harass them, but I can see why a choppa would not want to just perma-go out of spawn point, be butchered and then respawn and repeait it again.

It's 100 times more fun to fight other premades than to fight pugs. (atleast for myself)
If you solo que you shouldn't be surprised/mad about losing for an hour, this game was, is and will always be a group game.

Lets see, pot is 50, the difference between rr 20 and 34 is another extra 48, lets average each talisman at dunno, 16? and of course multiply that by the amount you can get, which iirc is 8 so lets average at an extra 114 from talismans.tomato wrote:At this level you get max stat differences of 100 mb.

That without even mentioning epic/rare gear, is not hard to get hard capped from one stat and most players arent even there.
So the stat differences are way bigger than 100 and you are just talking out of your ass.

You compare someone with max pots to someone with no pots,with good talis to 0 talis.

For talis: 6*11=66
6*16=96 Congratz mighty 30 stat points.
With pots: don't really know don't use them, you can get more from group buffs. (yes premade>gear again)
Maybe good pot 50, bad pot 30, so 20 stat points here.
So with renown you got 122 more stat points. Doesn't really matter.
