Classical RVR Guide For Noobs

Keep Defense:

1. Everyone gets inside keep
2. RDPS hit targets from top keep wall, the higher then better...they lose line of sight.
3. When Apposing Faction break though, tanks are to be on the second floor up front creating a choke hold on the stairs.
4. Bombers must be just behind tanks & tanks must switch guard to bombers.
5. Tanks must use hold the line and knock back as a primary tactic do destroy their lines.
6. If they break defense, tanks must switch guard to healers, mdps must move back to healers line to protect healers, bombers carry on bombing...bombers will die quickly, but healers can res them
7. Nobody must release moral until leader has confirmed that they have charged moral... Then 3-2-1 Full WB moral drop which can be used before or after they break front lines of tanks

Pushing:

1. Step one is for tanks to use knock back
2. Quickly after knock back, use moral drops
3. MDPS support tanks and tanks switch guard to MDPS
4. Healers & RDPS stay up back.
5. Pushes should never happen outside of a choke hold, such as a bridge
6. NB! Avoid bridges if you are attacking because they are not choke holds UNLESS THEY ARE VERY HIGH!!!

Skirmishing:

1. Tanks need to rotate guards on the fly when they see someone in danger.
2. Healers must circle outside of battle with RDPS or they need to be in the center of the defensive circle.
3. Groups must not split, groups need to be tight...if groups separate it gives opponent advantage and allows for better flanking

Flanking:

1. Set one party in to attack (your strongest party)
2. Keep 3 other parties out of line of sight. When Party 1 engages, engage from flank.

Positioning:

1. Make use of collision detection... If the groups are separated, the line is broken...apposing faction will struggle to fight you if they can't move in among-st you.

Choke Holds:

Never let the enemy lore you out of the choke hold even if it looks like you are winning, this is normally a trick and breaks your lines.

General Tricks:

Sending in a scout at keep...then half of the players leave keep and find themselves being hammered by a WB hidden just out of sight.

Same applies to BO's especialy during double capping... When taking a BO and waiting for the tick, it si important to hide entire WB behind the closest wall, tomb, bridge, rock etc... This is important because when apposing faction comes in, it is far easier to engage when they are not expecting it...especaily if they send a scout before hand... Don't kill scouts, then they will know that you are there...unless scouts are able to take Banner.

Keep Attack:

To many options here...but the idea is to draw players out of the keep one by one... Choppers are particularly good at this... The idea for a Keep attack is to send a wave and then move back, then send another wave...rinse repeat... Draw small groups out and pop em... Farming a keep attack is a lot of fun and the hardest thing to do... Currently we don't have seige implemented... So I am not going to cover that here.

I am very tempted to pull all those guides down and put them up on another site. Just so we have a legit place for them.
Too many alts to count...

The moment you have something better than pug attackers, you have lost, when giving up bottom floor.
Dying is no option.
