As I mentioned in this thread, fixing the way loot is handled in the code is a higher priority issue than fixing the way any individual mob drops gear. That being said, there are some easy changes to make which can alleviate (not fix) the problem in the meantime.

Without giving away numbers, you are statistically supposed to get 1-2 drops per kill, though they are not (and currently cannot be made to be) faction-specific.

Pick one:

• Bind on Equip with a lower drop rate (<1 drop per kill, not faction-specific)
• Bind on Pickup with higher drop rate (2-4 drops per kill, not faction-specific)

I'd rather them stay BoP with more being dropped. At least until everyone exploiting gets banned or has their gold deleted. BoE 8k gold helms on AH means not getting them either way and you'll just have the same exploiters farming them non-stop for gold instead of the people who would actually want them.

People will camp the boss 24/7, not because they want an alt appearance for their toon but because they want to sell the items for a lot gold.

BOE is a horrible bandaid fix, which doesn't solve any real issues with the loot/drop system.

All this just to calm down some alt appearance hunters? Don't get me wrong, I claim to have had the best looking toons on live ^^ but this is the wrong direction.

At least in our case, we want to use them for appearance; I'd take the Choppa of the Lady's appearance over 10k exploited gold that may still be wiped in the future. Appearance items are forever.

And yes, it's only a bandaid fix, but it's the best we'll get until the loot system gets revamped. If a few people wish to overcharge for this appearance, and there's people stupid enough to put down thousands of gold for it, LET them. At least the market economy would fluctuate a bit again.

Also, the amount of appearance hunters has grown with the amount of time we've spent waiting for T3. People are becoming a little restless with looking like crap. Satisfying that urge just a little bit with T4 weapon/helmet appearance will at least keep us quiet for the time being. ^^

and its just fcking apearance,tons of ppl are sick of T2 looks
just make it BOE,and make it boe retroactivly so all those helms that are in inv become boe so we can use them .if posible

My guild spawn camped boss for last 3 days.we killed lair boss 24 times exactly and only 3 helms droped ,all of those got wasted .
Regarding drops now ,u say this is increased drop chance ...what?

That is true, and i do not mind camping lairs. More camping - more fights. Also i would like to mention that loot drop is for sure 1-2 items from boss BUT these 1-2 include white/green/blue items. So 2 white items is also 2 items drop. My experience says that chance of blue loot is something around 1/5 and i have never seen 2 blue items drop that was usual on live. I would like to see Bandit Queen and Lady's Items BoE and switch on appearence on some bugged weapons like Axe of the Lady and most of Decayed loot.
