A weird item wipe is not a must, a gold and talisman wipe is though.

I do have to agree that something of almost a complete wipe has to be done - everyone was wearing +20 talis and as someone who has been farming and scavenging to make talis - I have to tell you that you'd be lucky to make ONE tali of that kind of quality in a few days of farming. To have all of your gear slots twinked out clearly spoke to something borked.

I don't understand the wipe of sc items. those are a completely different currency that to my knowledge can not be compromised on the AH or through Gold. Am I missing something on that?

Anyway there is no point discussing about what should and shouldnt be wiped, devs know whats hold value and what doesnt, let them do there stuff.
What bothers me the most about this is instead of working on improving/fixing issues they now have to spend time working out how to wipe **** without ruining things to much, it can only make them even less interested and bothered about the project.

So a broken economy with rampant inflation that jacks up prices, that hurt new players who try to buy gear pre level 26 sentry only to see exorbit prices for it is ok to you?

There is an active gold exploit on both sides. It's DB-related, and the damage is done.

Wipe all equipment, gold, material, and mats. Reset the Tier 2 influence rewards. Give everyone 10g to re-equip.

By the time T3 hits and the level cap gets raised, the R23-25 purple gear will lose its value and usefulness anyway. The only thing we know that's been generated through exploit for sure, is the gold.
