Tor Anroc. We all know it. You grab the bauble (spelling?), you hold on to it, you try and stop the opposition from getting it.
But wtf happens in the game? My faction doesn't seem to care about the objective.
I play tank (knight), so I feel like I'm in a good position to grab the bauble and hold on to it. I sit there, and I wait for heals. I get none. I die. Opposition grabs bauble, they run off with it, they win.
AM I MISSING SOMETHING?! Why does my team seem to not give a single **** about the bauble? Shouldn't the bauble holder be the focus of heals?!
The opposition has the bauble: we attack. I try to kill the holder of the bauble. I am alone. My team is busy attacking RANDOM OPPOSING PCs.
Perhaps I'm seeing it all wrong, but I am so confused. Why does the entire team seem so clueless as to what is meant to be done on that map? HOLD THE BAUBLE, HOLD THE VICTORY!

You only get purple gear drops from killing other players

Re: Tor Anroc and that whole flag thing
tank and melees shouldn't grab it imo. what you are doing is basically taking the bauble TO the enemy frontline (bad idea). also, when you have a tough tank, the bauble's dmg ticks is "true dmg" and makes all your defenses completely pointless. you're basically making yourself an easy kill for them for no reason.
let a healer or ranged take it.

Re: Tor Anroc and that whole flag thing
the best is let 1 tank hold it then let it die and reset the damage, pre calculed death it's the only way to not get wipe while trying to protect the keeper.
Ideally the best for it is a ranged ( no bomb) classes cos no risk to let a enemy take it / no visibility for enemy when the death will happen and even if it die it create no fuss to the party, while if a tank or healer die that's a problem.
