I just installed this glorious game,when i click connect in the launcher, nothing happens. Is this due to the servers being down atm?Or did i mess something up?

It's a problem several people seem to have. Just this afternoon, it was still working for me but now the launcher isn't able to start the game anymore.

Unfortunately I cannot get past the launcher. I'm aware you guys are looking into it - keep up the good work!
I'll settle for some Forum PvP in the meantime.

not sure if it will help but I unchecked the box that said " always ask before launching " and i connected .. hope it helps if not sry...
