dimday95 wrote:Okay, I have both launchers but neither of them are working. I moved the RoR launcher to the same folder in which the Warhammer.exe is located but I get an error when trying to connect. I can't patch Warhammer or run the official launcher to patch the game, I do own a copy of Warhammer and tried to download the game using the two discs but nothing is working (download finished but I can't run the patcher).

Here is what I'm seeing:

When trying to run the patcher:
The patch client was unable to update the file
[C:\Users\Kimberly\Downloads\Warhammer Online Age of Reckoning\warpatch.bin]
(0 total errors encountered). Please ensure the game is not already running and there is free space available on the disk.

(note: There is plenty of space left on the disk, and the game was not already running.)

I can't seem to copy what the RoR launcher error stated.

If there is anything I did wrong, please help. I read the download instructions as best I could, even re-read the instructions but nothing helped me there.

Edit: I downloaded the torrent link that was provided, do I need to download all the parts instead?
You won't ever be able to get the old WAR patcher service to work, because it was provided by Mythic and will always try to connect to their servers. Incidentally, you might as well uninstall your old WAR copy (Save your addons folder if you used any).
  1. You downloaded the .torrent file; use a bittorrent client to download the properly updated WAR client with the .torrent file.
  2. Put the RoR launcher in the same folder as the downloaded client (not the game disc client)
  3. Run the RoR launcher.

DHT needs to be enabled in your torrent client or it will never start. There are plenty of people seeding it.

I did all of that but I'm getting an error stating this:
(note: I can't see the entire error since part of it was cut off, so if I typed something wrong then I apologize.)

Data.myp:
System.Exception: You need to stop application currently using the folder
data.myp
at MYPHandler.MYPHandler.WriteFileToArchive(FileInArchive archFile Stream MS)
at MYPHandler.MYPHandler.ReplaceFile(FileInArchive archFile, FileStream
at RoRLauncher.Client.UpdateWarData()

That's what I was able to get out of the error I received.

  1. Make sure your bittorrent client is not still seeding the game
  2. Make sure all the files in the game folder are not marked as read-only

The torrent is being checked but it stopped and force re-check won't work. Torrents are always seeding. I unchecked read only from each file but I'm still receiving the error.

OK so I am still in the dark here.... I had this threadhttp://www.returnofreckoning.com/forum/ ... f=4&t=6486 and no replies so I will come back here since there is activity here.

I have downloaded the 10 part thing three times now. This time I got an error saying:
C:\Users\Tim\Downloads\Age_of_Reckoning_client(1).z01: The archive is either in unknown format or damaged

What am I doing wrong? The downloads take about 10+hours for me so this is an all day thing for me. Is there a faster way to download these some where, or a full version down load so I don't need to keep adding parts to my download list?

EDIT: Just tried the torrent thingy (my first time doing torrents....) I was told my utorrent that the handle is invalid.

For

Code: Select all

Error starting: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Games\Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning\WAR.exe' is denied.
You have to un-check Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning folder from read-only.

As for the .zip parts, do you have Age_of_Reckoning_client.zip? z01 is the 2nd part so to say.

Trouble with torrent:

I have attempted to download the torrent several times using deluge. Each time, during the "checking" phase, the progress bar gets to +99% then says it is downloading, then a few minutes into that gets an error. Here is what deluge says is the status:

Access is denied: C:\Users\owner\Downloads\Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning\user\settings\GLOBAL\NerfedButtons\SavedVariables.lua

dunno what to do here, any help would be great
