Calm down, you'll have plenty of time to get them back once the system is implemented again.

Few notes:Joan wrote: World of tanks is no MMORPG.
World of Tanks, alongside War Thunder (WoT came first, so it's more popular) are pretty much the only WW2 Online Tank games.
World of Tanks is made by Russians. Russian (and Asian) MMORPG customs are different than European and American ones (AKA more grindy).
World of Tanks is extremely popular because it's accesible, fast-paced combat and easy to get into but hard to master.

What's too easy? You another MMO muppet/sheep who only plays to acquire the best gear? Or you scared some newcomer in matching level gear might beat you?Dragorn7200 wrote:But then its too easy..

Gear grind is not real "progression", its just grinding to extend the amount of time you spend in gameAzuzu wrote:
I personally HATE grinding, but I understand why it's in the game.
A lot of people enjoy the carrot on the stick, they like the RPG aspect of an MMO and progressing (growing) their character via items. People like this want to grind and get gear, they want to feel like they have an advantage because of the hard work they put in.
Without progression this would be closer to an arena style moba, in a much bigger setting.
Gear grind can also have to do with a lack of renown points working. Usually the RvR progression would be ranking your RR up, here that's not implemented.
Also, allowing players to buy all the gear at rr30 (we will say 30 for the sake of argument) will cause a power creep, between the players who are already 30 and those just starting out. With gear grinding, you may fight someone with one or two items, not someone with a full set.
I do agree the cost should be less if there is any intent in releasing T3 soon and making the gear useless tho. When the grind is setup to take 3 months and the new tier is coming out in less, it doesn't make sense.
Haha sorry.. I quoted bad message..Penril wrote:Antalor wrote:

...the hell did i just read?
You realize he is agreeing with us that there should be no emblem/gear grind in RoR, right?
Oh well. I DID point out the OP was silly...

World of Tanks was made by Belarus developers.
I estimate 1/3 of RoR population including most premades and elite groups being Russian-speaking. Are you sure you want Western customs in RoR? If 2/3 of premades and elite groups want Western customs, yes. 2/3 > 1/3
Aza have said there will be progress and no easy to get things and no instant gratification in RoR, he posts tons of posts a day, you are to free to search for that one.
RoR is accessible (free), slower-paced combat (too good equipment on most players) and it's easy to get into but hard to master. Lol no. It is actually the other way around (difficult to get into, easy to master)
