Aza, in other threads was thought abut universal currency, so no PVEing will be more needed, what do you think about it?

I mean - one type of medallions for every tier - no more Soldier's emblem and soldier's medallions - only ONE type of tier's currency. Soldier's badge, for example. So no more need to PVEing empty castles, cause you can those badges in scenarios, or in RvR.

We are not going to promote giving both sides medallions for doing nothing instead of just one. We will solve the problem in place or do nothing.

Perhaps make keeps only reward medals if there atleast 12 defenders.

or perhaps make it so keep do not auto flip back when a zone unlocks, and instead for example, all keeps would remain destruction until an order WB forms up and takes them back manually.

edit: i guess my second suggestion just promotes keep trading. sorry i didn't put much thought into the ideas, just a frustrating night of 0 scenarios and a constant 100 man zerg of destruction.

Exactly. While little can be done about the player mindset (if you could pull that off you'd be the first) you can restrict potential abuse. If you limit the rewards for realm stacking it would move a long way towards addressing it. They stack one side so they can steam roll the fights. Sadly in this case the 'fights' are undefended keeps. In the current system there is an unlimited supply of undefended keeps so they'll continue unabated. Stop the keeps resetting every 15 mins and you remove that easy supply. With nothing to fight there is little advantage to having superior numbers so things will generally even out.

The 15min lockout should stay. That definitely controls constant keep trading.

Without realm locking the problem remains. Say I change the system such that the realm locking a zone retains control of all objectives and keeps in the zone when the zone unlocks. Now what's the optimum strategy to farm medallions? Cap it all as faction X, then flip to faction Y and cap it all for them. That, or wait for some damn fool faction Y warband to cap the keep that you need to get the lock, then roll them. Eventually faction Y will stop wanting to do this, at which point you get people logging faction Y to cap everything.

I'm sorry, but the only solution I can actually see to end this mentality forever is to either start enforcing realm balance within the RvR lakes, or to start working on realm pride, via punishing lockouts, disabling of x-faction chat, etc.

IMHO rewarding player kills instead of captures would be great. Reduced rewards for a zerg is another good thing.

Would also mean you don't have to lock down ppl in one zone.

its still more complicated then just wait for the definite autoreset though.

obviously ANY system is exploitable, its a question of how much effort and coordination it needs. right now it needs no effort at all, the system grants the exploit automatically by resseting the keeps for you. And that brings the slide once it begins, other faction realise a "keep taking train" is going on on other faction and people log on to that side and it begins and doesnt stop anymore.

that hapened yesterday some "gold rush-idiocy". People stoped thinking and went just rushing to get their precious reward.

People saying: only give rewards for killing. Then the objectives have no role at all. All fighting will be in front of the warcamps. Zerg only. No roaming as there are no aims to roam to.

im out of ideas actually :(

If you feed the zerg it stays, be it renonw from captures or medallions. If you reward kills people do RvR
