In T4, once you locked a pairing, it remained locked for an hour iirc, forcing people to fight on 2 zones.

If both realms locked a pairing, then there would only be one left. This lead to HUGE fights in that last open zone.

The old system was not nice. Players would log off the successful keep side and retake it within minutes. They'd park their toons inside the keep. Log into the side which had lost the keep and retake it.

The keep/zone locking now tackles that "tactic" but still encourages "keep dancing" if the numbers are inappropriate.

This all boils down to population numbers. If given equal numbers, I'm sure we'd see more keep defending. No more complaints and just sitting around twiddling thumbs because the other side zergs.

Such is the fact that your premades fully vested and optimized are destroying pugs who are not capped/geared because in reality, 26 shouldn't exist in tier2.

I can't fathom why epeens explode when they kill these lowbies.

No one says the old system was perfect. It obviously needs changes. But what some people are saying is just that they find the old system better (still doesn't mean that they think it's good), than the new system. That is all, really.

If you ask me, ANYTHING is better or more fun, than being farmed. ANYTHING.

Woot. i found the Ignore function. Thank god, i really don't want to derail this thread.

@feefy: epeens don't explode when we kill lowbies. Mine does a little, however, when we kill 3 or 4 times our numbers.

I'm a fan of the new system. it helps to funnel players together to get some actual action going. It also can turn into Keep swaps, but no more than the previous way.

I'd like to see some changes to ORVR in T1 next.
- make changes to allow for zones to be locked easier/more frequently
- increase INF
- change medallions to be awarded per BO taken instead of each zone locked.

What is this solving? it's helping bridge the gap on gear before a player hits RR 12 and is then forced into T2 areas to get OMFG raped.

as it stands new players are hard pressed to get 20 tokens from SCs and 13 tokens from ORVR for gear before they are booted into T2.

Other zones should not be locked.

Having only one zone promotes zergs which promotes mindless AoE spam. It was already really difficult to find small scale battles without getting zerged - Now it's close to impossible.

With the cc and immunity utility at this level cap small parties have a very hard time avoiding or kiting zergs.

This. Although I don't mind large scale battles as long as they are somewhat balanced in numbers.
