Hello,

you see the problem here? With the next level cap raise we need to change it again and again and again. Till we reach end level and end renown.

If we add some stuff that you can buy with medallions it will cost, medallions, emblems and gold. So that players need to do all. Sz & RvR.

regards

No sigmar you don't; like I have and as well as many others have said this is a stop gap measure till you guys add full pvp sets once we have anni, conq, invader no one will care about pvp gear bcahse no one will want to give up the set bonuses

Right now we only have oblit gloves which are not good enough atm with out the rest of the set

Furthermore if you guys just add vendors then this would solve multiple issues including the lack of real intrest in orvr atm and furthermore other issuers like order not having enough mobs to farm lvl. 21 gear

This desire for vendors is temporary till you implement full rvr sets

Was going to write soon but I was fighting a huge Orvr battle (which was epic btw)

All I wanted to say was said by Coryphaeus above. Basically once the real pvp sets arrive no one is going to give a look to the vendor, so the need for vendor would disappear.

It would also help Orvr population, especially WC afking, while at the same time, giving us some place to spend medallions on (since tome unlocks aren't up yet, trophies would make the perfect item since many of us lost trophies due to the wipe. Also gear for alt appearance.)

High cost per piece (50 medallions per blue, for example) would prevent people from being full decked in purples.
ORvR PvP is PvP too, after all.

It would be something to strive for , instead of praying to Gork and Mork / Sigmar / RNGesus for a drop which most of us won't ever see (or at least an usable drop :P)

With the cap being raised to 26, their is a very large and real gear gap, and this is no longer a 2 stat point difference.

Its a huge leap from 10 to 25 on jewels as well as between clamit and underworked, vaunted, doom caller and bastion.

Gear progression is not keeping up with player progression with classes dishing out massive dmg with abilities, tactics and debuffs and their is no mitigation besides armor.

Now more than ever we need gear vendors as a stop gap till rvr sets are implemented as it looks like 26 is the cap for t2 and it looks like we will be here for a bit till t3.

As Coryphaus (and many others) have said, the new lvl cap increase has brought a very big gap gearwise which should be "bandaged" imho, otherwise some classes will become field nukes causing impressive amount of damage. Which is not good if there is not any defense for it.

I think the main problem with introducing PvP gears is the fact that every set needs its stats adjusted and balanced out against every possible counter set-up from enemy abilities. Stat bonus from gear is possible, as we've seen with Decimator armor, but this was basic +14 to a stat. Having to code every Obliterator and Devastator armor piece so we can fill the gear gap from level 16-18 and 23-26 with these sets is going to be one hell of a task to mirror and scale properly from the lowest PvE items for T2 (being the Pillager's items at level) to the highest (Doom-Caller which are at level 25).

Also, most of the PvE gear is missing resistances, so these resists would have to be a standard guarantee to some classes with RvR armor, while still keeping strength, int and ballistic skill at a stat level worse than PvE gear of equal level. This way the PvE gear can be used for pure glass cannon builds while RvR armor sets provide all-round decent stats and basic stacking for aforementioned offensive stats. Also, adding of talisman slots to RvR gear will also provide higher stat stacking, and diversity to other stat choices when salvaging comes around. Although the meta build will still continue stacking primary stats on RvR gear, PLUS having resistances on them, we're going to have to fix every RvR set piece to a basic standard that's still below PvE gear, to not have extreme stacking as with PvE gear.

That, or just introduce +18, +25 and +10/10, +14/+14 jewels to the RvR shop for 30-75 Medalionls each. this way ANYONE who partakes in RvR can get access to expensive PvE drops, and avoid the grind for gold/drops. This is also why Medallions should be added to player drops, as we get Emblem drops in Scenarios to pay for SC weapons. More kills = more medals = more access to gear through RvR.

I think adding Jewelry (and only Jewelry) to the RvR shop would be the best solution. No need to necessarily add actual gear because (hopefully) obliterator and devastator gear is nearing release. All the new gear would then become obsolete quickly while Jewelry pieces could last for many levels. We can only buy Toughness/Initiative/Wounds Jewelry from the vendors. If we could buy WP/Str/Intel/Bal as well, even if it's with medallions, it would be a huge plus.

Ahh, that would be very nice.

I have another idea: what about adding basic trophies (the ones you get from a T1 quest) to the medallion vendor, while the "higher and cooler" trophies are only obtainable via the ToK. Since many of us lost the good ol' Norsca / Nordland trophy due to wipe, it would be a neat addition imo.

But ofc devs have priorities so maybe in the future, who knows :D
