Player from Live with questions about now

So as the Title says the last time I really played was back during live and honestly it was right after the reworked the City Siege, so I just got some questions since things I see on youtube and such are before their balance changes and such.

What would be a good Solo class to start with? I like doing Warband but my hours soon with be weird so idk if I'll really be able to do much.

I saw people saying not to get the Conq gear at 40 but the Ruin from raids, the only raids I did was the Khorne Temple and Sewers, is that where I get that gear from?

Should I be saving those War Crests or using those for the Weapons as I level up?

I mained a Blackguard, my buddy decided to flip order so I mained a WP healer.

Any Videos or tips would be helpful.

Ah yeah don't bother. The Defs clearly stated that they despise solo and small grp gameplay. If your class is good solo it will be nerfed into the ground until you comply with blob gameplay. Have fun...

Right now there are casual open warbands any time of day, no need to come on schedule and stay till disband. If by "solo class" you mean one that always fits in WBs and SCs, then on Order safe choices are RP or WP healers, SM or Kotbs tanks, WL or Engineer DPSes. Others are also viable, but need more effort to make work, or too gear-dependent, or too team-dependent, or unclear role or smth else.

Best gear+best weapon for almost any class comes for crests, and it will cost 8-12k crests total. So for low-level sets, see their costs and think how does this compare to "8-12k". This is debatable, but I say go for it, buy leveling gear, it's worth it.

At lvl 40 you will have 4 stages of gear: 1) Redeye+Sentinel mix 2) Vanq+Onsl mix 3) Bloodlord or Darkpromise 4) "BIS" which is noramlly top pvp gear (see above about 8-12k crests)

Redeye comes from Gunbad dungeon
Sentinel from Sigmar's Crypts dungeon
Vanq drops from gold bags you get by doing RVR (also can buy for crests but dont)
Onls(aught) comes from CH22 pve raid (24 ppl PQ) if able to find a group.
Bloodlord comes from Bastion Stair dungeon (" Khorne Temple" as you put it)
Darkpromise comes from Lost Vale dungeon.

Do them in this order. I.e. as fresh solo 40 you try to find party for Crypts, not for BS.

For weapons - if your class does not care about weapon dps (casters, tanks...), just use the ones from Crypts, or Redeye or even those for t4 lakes influence. If you need weapon dps, then rush top pvp weapon asap (normally it's Fortress).

Jewelry - use Genesis Jewelry.

Speaking of genesis, you want to prio Genesis Crests from all rewards, eventually need like 100 of those total.

Thank you for that information, it has been a LONG time since I gotten into Warhammer online.

I'll keep this in mind to remember. I think I'm going back to a WP at first since that was my Fav one to play and also the Age of Chaos cinematic really helps lol
