After doing a number of Lost Vale runs I had to come to the conclusion that the loot table in Lost Vale is rigged.
The first two boss kills pretty much determines which sets are dropping for the whole dungeon.
I would also like to mention I think its rather sad that even tough LV is one of the longest dungeon in terms of set items it drops the least amount of loot.
After a boss kill only 1 boots, 1 gloves, 1 belt is dropping instead of two.

I don't know why, but I've seen that happening also more than once.
There tends to be mostly one set dropping per run. Lets say the first drops are for class X then all the following drops gonna have a high chance for class X as well. Weird.

Anecdotally, I’ve noticed the same behavior with loot in basically every dungeon. I always assumed it was some kind of bias I don’t know the name for—where you notice the unusual outcomes but forget the expected ones—but it really does seem to happen a lot.
