Oh dear. IB is not the best Order tank, Kotbs is, stop derailing.

On topic: 25 grudge for a Punt has always been laughable ( although the punt effect itself is decent now the cost is still a joke).

10 grudges cost would have been more fair, but this ties into the long standing issue of the Ironbreaker class, archaic poor resource system, that was made obsolete the minute they released the BG class back in the original game( updated version of the class mechanic).

P.S. Inb4 someone who did not get the example above( i was not referring to IB vs BG balance in any given patch version, just the resource system per se). :)

The main topic of this thread is to ask for gameplay improvement, to make the class smoother. No one is complaining here.
Play an IB, and when your DPS will ask a KD to secure kill, but you can't because you did not block an attack because you parried it or dodge it, or dirsupt it, you just say, sry cant KD. And Same goes with punt, to keep your oath friend with buff you need to use a lot of grudge and in some situation its hard to keep it up.
Threads do often get derailed in here, when players of the opposite faction get involved.

Yes, the IB class should have received several quality of life improvements over the years but they almost gained none ( except 10s to 20 s buff which was nice but still not enough, given costs those buffs should have been at least 25 seconds as were discussed in the past).

Stuff like having to dedicate an entire tactic slot to regenerate class resources on hit( which the BG - aka updated version gains for free) is ridiculous, of course the argument is but ''IB scaling is better' which doesn't mean IB should have 0 by default and forced into a tactic, but instead lower the number to 2-3 grudges per hit and balance is achieved.

IB is like the class that existed in the early phases of development, then got forgotten and had to resort to ''piano gameplay'' for the rest of its existance, i am sure that if the official Warhammer online servers had not shut down, this class would have gotten completely rebalanced and facelifted in due time.

The class has always been anti-gameplay no matter how much a few stubborn veterans would like to live in the past and defend it, its entire rotation is to maintain buffs and play the piano.

P.S. Don't get me wrong, i loved the IB for the challenge, my favourite class in fact, but then again i am a High APM player used to micromanage far harder games to play like Starcraft, Warcraft 3 in the top ladder positions, for the average player IB is just plain exhausting and i am sure no modern gamer would ever want to touch this class, it's truly a relic from the past design wise. Acquired taste for the few :) .

Does grudge scaled abbilities are good enaugh on 100 grudges? Maybe they should get some buff like grudge born fury gets.
Does grudge gain tactics are good enaugh in curent grudge spent meta? Dwarven riposte, ok -but rising anger could be little better( you and Your oath friend hit effect) . 30 grudge BoG,25 oathbound( was 15 before change) ect.
The point is that- if player pick grudge gain tactic he wish to take advantage from 100point grudges effects on abbility and buff at the same time. In othere case constand buffing puts player always under 100. Its decision to not buff and have 100 or buff and be around 50-100. Picking correct grudge making tactic giving possibility to have high grudges number and buff constantly.
Binding grudge, heavy blow, earhshater had their number decresed few years ago. Increse number of grudge to use abbilities, two grudge gain tactic requirement to play with full advantage from grudge related abbility.
I have no problem with grudge gen with risen anger when I even play solo. If you buff it, then class mechanic be too decorative.
The question is why IB and BG has class mechanic to manage and don't gain much from it. Especially kotbs and chosen simply turn auras on and do so much more than IB and BG. Also can't punt on first contact, can't pre-buff.
Duno what You are considering as "decorative"
Adjustment into rising anger could be very nice.
On -why kobs is " better" then ib.
Ib buff are not related with grudge number so its def potential is not related with grudge number, but it would be very nice if buffs had revers grudge scaling mechanics. If player usse buff from 100 grudge - buff is better, then same buff ussed from 20 grudge.
Also i write about buffing grudge scaling abbilities on 100 grudges.
Ib is grudge spender/ buffer in rvr enviroment and grudge fueled in sc/smallscale environment when he take use from 100 grudges synergies more.
Buffing grudge gain tactic into position where player can take advantage from both grudge economys is my proposition.
Or delating both grudge gain tactic and make ,buffer or grudge fueled economys so separete the players will not be able marge both economys.
