That's right. When playing Order, these skills can be frustrating and disrupt your formation, making them very troublesome.lumpi33 wrote: Wed Jul 29, 2026 12:33 amThere are a lot more (Run Away, Kaboom!, Gork Sez Stop, etc.) and yeah, I'd like to know that too.ponko22 wrote: Tue Jul 28, 2026 1:40 pm Why does the Destro side have so many unique, interesting, and highly effective utilities?

When playing Destro, you don't experience that frustration; you simply feel like you're being killed due to a difference in player skill.
With this adjustment, the strength relationships will be as follows, making playing Destro far more enjoyable. (Who's afraid of an Assult SW that charges in naked without stealth lol)
SH >>> SW
Magus > Engineer
Sorc >= BW

I think the tea sipping loyalist with his tsk tsk sentiment is likely an example. Misinformation, cluelessness, lack of basic knowledge, 0 game experience and ocean of tears from people who at best solo roam or pug. Rejoice, you are the only and one of skilled players on the server, the veterans, genuinely skilled veterans who cant showcase due to evil forces and devs bias!!! And no, it doesnt stops there, not only this, but somehow Teefz is now an official balance team member. Because how could SW be "destroyed" if not some personal vendetta or bias.
Its literally pure gold guys, forums havent been this amazing for years i swear.
Do you understand that at least one of official "Balance Team" is a famous SW elitist?

- Stopped playing SW long long ago
- Has dementia
- Was outvoted by others
The product speaks for itself. It is absurdities stacked on top of each other. Scout is a mess. Skirmish has been gutted. Assault will remain a niche irrelevancy.
Since you appear to be a loyalist, here are some simple questions:
- Does the patch make the SW stronger or weaker?
- Now compare the post-patch SW to all the other RDPS. Which class will the post patch SW perform better than or be more of a threat to?
- What WB will want a SW as opposed to any other RDPS option?
However, if adjustments like this, which simply reduce damage, continue, all classes will gradually be weakened in order to equalize the game. How many skills do you think have been rendered useless compared to when it was live?

I do wonder a few things though:
1) if nerfing damage AND range AND crit damage is taking it overboard. We won’t know until patch is live.
2) why ST skirmish got hit in the process as an innocent bystander.
3) and why rDPS are escaping with no similar nerfs, and will be clearly superior in at least some of its specs.
The unfortunate outcome is that order is likely to go back to stacking WL + BW, whilst very few Slayers, Engineers and SWs may get a look in from an AOE perspective.
On the other hand, Scout could be viable although I’m not a fan of the play style. Assault looks really fun, and that’s my main anyways. Win some, lose some, across the specs I suppose.
Re: [PTS] Patch Notes 23/07/2026 - RDPS Patch and New Scenario Mechanic
I agree with you. Aoe Skirmish needed a few nerfs for sure, just not sure the extra -10% damage on split arrows was also needed. Also yes, single target Skirmish did not need a nerf and honestly they should have just reverted Powerful Draw back to the +50% range on all Skirmish abilities like it was before.rorswar wrote: Wed Jul 29, 2026 4:25 pmI don’t mind that AOE SW got nerfed.Orontes wrote: Wed Jul 29, 2026 4:01 pmI think the tea sipping loyalist with his tsk tsk sentiment is likely an example. Scout is still strong, but I can guarantee that against groups with a braincells, FA will be regularly cleansed so you and your group better cover your debuffs big time.
Assault still does damage but the 5 second aoe detaunt should be at least 10 seconds, same with Blurring Strike. 5 seconds on those feel WAY too short especially since we now have 0 defenses.
Do I think they will change anything of note in these specs before the launch of the patch? Nope. I can only hope that in the future they either thoroughly test possible weaknesses and strengths in house or at least get input from players who main the classes, unbiased.
