Re: SW feedback 2026/7/23 Patch Nite
What a bummer lol. Started playing the game again yesterday (mainly because I'm currently waiting for the next WoW season and wanted to try out the new bgs and see what changed), started to... enjoy the new scenarios (unironically, good job to the dev team there) and then found out that my class gets nerfed into oblivion which immediately removed all the joy. I'd even be fine with nerfs if they'd be at least symmetrical but looks more like that SW will just end up overnerfed and as a discount SH, latter one seems to get a lot, to avoid saying too much, love from the balance team while I somehow doubt that anybody in the balance team bothers to main SW. Then there's the faction balance issue on top of that... might very well just collapse Order as a whole.
Then there are also the Magus changes which are... something. The argument that the game isn't balanced around "solo" RvR feels more like an excuse to allow some classes to be completely broken in that content when you look at certain classes like Magus (which were previously "balanced" by being bad in groups as a downside and instead of shifting power from solo to group play they simply removed their core weakness).
Seriously, it's hard to compare the SW changes to both Magus and SH and come to the conclusion that this balance tuning is objective and unbiased. If you want to add a new playstyle that might end up not even being viable or good then do so without overnerfing existing playstyles which work. Like I don't really see the main point of dance swapping, would guess you want this to be like Druid in WoW which arguably can be cool and a lot of fun but there's no reason to also add a high risk high reward element on top of that, not sure why dance stancing as a mechanic alone isn't already enough of a change.

Don't listen to people on the forum. SW has insane output in new melee and altered fester spec. It's aoe spec was nerfed and rightly so. The aoe spec is still playable and will still perform. Just not on the broken level it has performed before.Ragnaroek93 wrote: Mon Jul 27, 2026 3:54 pm What a bummer lol. If you only get your views on a patch from the forums and you meta chase, you're going to have a VERY bad time.Ragnaroek93 wrote: Mon Jul 27, 2026 3:54 pm What a bummer lol. That's not a proof at all. You could have done that forum post with any class (looks like magus). Someone else also could have wrote it.noronn wrote: Mon Jul 27, 2026 4:00 pmDon't listen to people on the forum. SW has insane output in new melee and altered fester spec. Without exact typingrotation it can't be verified. I still think it is made up.

Nobody posted any conclusive evidence on this thread, it's all just impressions and fearmongering.Amakusa wrote: Mon Jul 27, 2026 4:38 pmThat's not a proof at all. "That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence" and so far, all we have are mostly numbers from test dummies and not actual combat scenarios.
Also, noronn was just replying to a returning player encouraging them to stay and play the game with us, why does he need to provide any evidence?

Re: SW feedback 2026/7/23 Patch Nite
Just a reminder:
SL - OP throughout the entire live server and for most of the time on this server (many years; absolutely all other classes were just a useless add-on)
WE – OP just like SL, with the difference that it kept getting stronger throughout the server’s run until now, when its OP status has reached its peak. Fortunately, we have an upcoming patch,
WL – OP for a short time initially (Guardian broken spec)
WL/Mara – OP mainly in the AoE spec. It was so OP that it was worth playing as an alternative to the ST spec because it killed everyone around with the same efficiency as an ST build. This lasted a very long time (the changes didn’t affect it much anyway).
rSH – super OP for a while, then nerfed a bit but still super strong.
SW – super OP right up until now (after justified changes to AoE, it’s still very strong, if not stronger in some aspects).
Choppa—OP when his GTDC reached halfway across the map and dealt 2k damage (my record in a level 40 WH).
So why is everyone complaining now that Magus will be OP? Maybe this is just his brief moment to shine

Re: SW feedback 2026/7/23 Patch Nite
Let me reiterate the developers' intentions:
Now you can enjoy the new SW!
[Skirmish]
- Shortened range, reduced ST and AoE damage, and moved some instance skills to a different stance to make them harder to use
but AP cost remains the same and there are no additional tactics!!!
[Scout]
- Made high-damage skills harder to use
but they deal less damage than before and are easier to counter!!!
[Assult]
- Removed AoE and made it ST-focused with slightly increased damage
but removed defense and made it easier to die with just a few added skills!!!
