Re: Everything wrong with the 03/04/26 Patch
The whole logic of weapons rebalance is introducing new bis pvp weapons on sov quality level. So they nerfed old inv quality bis weapons so new sov quality would arguably be similar like pre patch invader.

Where was this stated exactly? It certainly not in the Itemization forum announcement, nor is it on the itemization wiki page.
Has this been stated officially or are you just assuming?
Speaking of assuming:

THIS is the reason why we need transparency and communication. Practice neither and soon the community will turn to conspiracy theories (true or not).

I can’t speak with a ton of authority on the itemization side since I wasn’t in those meetings. That said, there have been more meetings on itemization in the last two months than I’ve seen on any other topic since I joined the team.leftayparxoun wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2026 6:37 pmNameless wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2026 6:07 pm The whole logic of weapons rebalance is introducing new bis pvp weapons on sov quality level. Was the plan to release just the weapons? Yes.
Did it end up going a slightly different direction, with other items being changed as well? Yes.
Would those items have eventually been changed to what they are now anyway? Yes.
Did some of the team want everything released at once instead of in phases? Sure, everyone has their own opinion.
Was it ultimately decided to release things in phases? Yes. The thought was and still is to give time to review higher-value items more closely before everything goes out.
Have there been talks about higher-value weapons, gear, etc.? Yes, but they’re just that right now. Talks. No set timeframe and no guarantees.
Are there going to be more meetings about itemization? Yes, I can promise you that. Probably more than anything else right now.
What’s planned next? I honestly don’t know. I try to stay out of the itemization side as much as I can.
Was there ever a plan to make PvE items BIS? No. Not from anything I’ve seen or heard in meetings or recordings. That was never the stated goal. That said, I understand the concern with how some items are currently landing, and I’d expect that to be part of ongoing discussions as things get reviewed.
On things like undocumented changes, specific stat outcomes, or how certain items compare right now, I get why that’s frustrating. I’m not in a position to speak to the exact reasoning behind those decisions or who signed off on each piece, but I do know itemization is actively being worked through and reviewed as it’s rolled out.
As for why it wasn’t all done at once, the phased approach was intentional. Whether people agree with that or not is fair, but the idea was to avoid pushing everything at once without the ability to adjust along the way.
I also understand the hesitation around investing in gear right now. That’s a fair concern given the scope of changes. I don’t have a direct answer on refunds or guarantees, but I’d expect stability to improve as more of the itemization work is completed.
As for why more people haven’t chimed in, I can’t speak for everyone. In my case, it’s because I’m not the most informed on the detailed decisions, and the people who are tend to be tied up with real life and other parts of development. There’s also not much new to add beyond what’s already been said. Itemization is coming out in phases, and that hasn’t changed. The team isn’t looking to roll the patch back, especially since it’s just getting started.
Appreciate the feedback. I know there’s a lot of concern around this, and hopefully this at least gives some clarity on where things stand.
Re: Everything wrong with the 03/04/26 Patch
Ty all for the answers and reflections. Guess I will save my crests for a while and accept pve is bis for a pvp game …

BiS: Best in skills.
People is so obsed with best weapons when you do good anyway with top SC weapons or fortress or LV weapons if you know what you are doing. And if someone wanna be tryharder, then should colect all weapons for every content of the game.

Thank you for the reply.
While it's far from ideal in my eyes, I can understand a bit better why certain decisions were taken.
I understand that you are not directly involved with the topic, however I'd like to focus on 2 key points you made:
Does this imply that e.g. the jewelry sets that were reworked have correct stats currently?Emissary wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2026 7:58 pm Was the plan to release just the weapons? Yes.
Did it end up going a slightly different direction, with other items being changed as well? Yes.
Would those items have eventually been changed to what they are now anyway? Yes.
If that's the case then the wiki itemization page is inaccurate regarding their set bonuses' calculations (to put lightly).
Does this also mean that reworked items will not have their stat distributions changed abruptly later on? Is it safe to start editing guides and providing recommendations to people for those items at least, or are their stat distributions still being debated?Emissary wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2026 7:58 pm The team isn’t looking to roll the patch back, especially since it’s just getting started.

Why would you get banned for it if you don't even know it's 100% true? Like it's gonna be just speculation in the end, I can speculate city 55, bloodlord 60, darkpromise 65, boom. Makes sort of sense as it is "invader" tier and the invader weapons aka fort weapons are 66, sure bloodlord armour also being invader tier puts slight dent to the theory, whatever, buff bloodlord weps to 65 i guess, idk.Wdova wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2026 6:01 pmI was told the root cause, but I can´t write it publicly. Why are players forced into Pve in a pvp game for Dark Promise, Bloodlord, Crypt weapons?
Rly hope dev team will provide better/comparable gear to be bought from pvp crests, or allow pve gear to be bought from pvp crests as a minimum
And not like those weapons are even massively better either and mostly comes down to the very bad proc tiers/costs with like fort weapon instant damage procs costing 40 vs 20 for DOT of darkpromise. And the healer DP ones are kind of joke with D&D costing 9 stat points and overpriced proc on top of it so that stat don't really look like ilvl 65 weapons when the ilvl 50 madcaps are way better as they have real non-useless stats and no procs.
In general, they do need to fix the current proc mess, the costs make no sense, completely useless procs taking stat points and the costs in general are way too high, idk why we need "tiers" either, just assign value to each proc depending on the class archtype it's on, like if you reallyreally want to keep that spike VII on charms, make it cost 1 cause that's about how useful it is.
Then change or the very least explain certain stat costs, D&D is not worth anywhere close to 9, anti-crit and crit are not worth the same amount and crit in general seems low cost compared to everything else power and real stat aren't worth the same either. increasing crit cost and stat allocation(so a 2% crit item unchanged, but 0-1% would gain some stats, on top of proc cost cahnges ofc) would be good starter.

Re: Everything wrong with the 03/04/26 Patch
I updated the wiki with information with how Jewelry sets and Jewelry part of sets are calculated. But it's possible that item levels of jewelry will change in the upcoming patch.leftayparxoun wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2026 11:56 pm Does this imply that e.g. the jewelry sets that were reworked have correct stats currently?

I would wait until all the itemization patches have come through.leftayparxoun wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2026 11:56 pm Does this also mean that reworked items will not have their stat distributions changed abruptly later on? Re: Everything wrong with the 03/04/26 Patch
Thanks for taking the time Emi, really appreciate it
But if this is the RoR team trying to be transparent and then as you put it yourself, you are not informed or in those meetings, then this whole thing does come off abit sour. When you have to come out and kind of address the situation of "we are not rolling back the patch". That should highlight how serious the critique has been towards this game direction, the result and the approach. And then those guys who want to force this direction, and want to try to be transparent, are too busy to follow it up?
The RoR discord channel has a "dev post" sub category, that channel has been dead quite on the last 2-3 community outcrys.
If you guys want to be transparent, then that channel better have more posts in it..
Noone in the community asked for this weapon overhaul, its not being done very well and the communication outwards is half-done. There have never been more meetings done about any topic, than this(?) Well how about all those meetings could be done about what 50+% of the community votes for hoping to see changes towards, RvR the main replay loop.
The last thing we got was an aao random encounter, that is not even spawning.
Prove us wrong, show us that this is a Campaign driven RvR game.
(this includes not having best in slot items gated into pve just to make sure the players will then do the content the pve team has dumped manhours into just to see it being sorta populated)
