[BG] I'm interested in leveling a Blackguard 2H

I'm interested in leveling a Blackguard from start to finish using 2H. If any experienced BG player could give me some tips, I'd be very grateful. I've played with IB (SnB) and I'm almost SOV with it, and I'd like to know if playing with BG I'd have as much fun as I had with IB, but with 2H now.

What's changed in recent patches to make them less desirable. I see posts as of 2024 saying they were pretty top tier. I have a BG and they seem really fun but I also haven't leveled any other tanks yet.

Basically, with 2H you have 2 builds.

Build 1: Debuff bot (inc crit chance, AOE slow, -defense, etc) but if you want to do any damage with that you will sacrifice defenses. The class needs arm pen (weapon skill), which will take away from your survivability stats. Some of the buffs require a crit so you end up stat starved.

Build 2: You go with the high disrupt/parry build and run Witch King for the cooldown decrease. Its ok, but gets boring because you're damage is low. Any some classes on Order bypass avoidance pretty easily so it can be frustrating.

You can goof with the anti-detaunt builds for focusing healer but you need to go high enough damage or healers just detaunt, hot and ignore you. Overall, the class can you use some tweaks.

Other tanks got buffed significantly, while BG left as is. I love my BG, but it's like driving old fiat instead of BMW top model.

Pick a different tank. Thank me later. They seem to leave broken classes alone. example w/e and b/g both at opposite sides of spectrum.
