Help to decide Shaman, Squig Herder, Zealot, Engi and Bright Wizard

Good evening everyone,

I've been playing around with my shaman a bit, but now there are three more classes that have piqued my interest: engineer, bright wizard, Squig Herder and Zealot. All three look so cool.

Please don't be surprised, I'm going to show you a few quotes from me on Discord, where I asked a lot of questions:
"SW is out of the question for me now. Shaman, Squig Herder, or DoC for a beginner. But I also want to deal damage if you say shaman or DoC 😉 Even if I have to get a second armor set for that."
"Well, I'm more someone who likes to play 1vs1 or 1vs2 in WvW, like in GW2. So more duels against other players. I'm aware of the videos, but thanks for the tip anyway. No matter what I decide, it will certainly take me a long time to get reasonably good. Which class fulfills this role better for you in 1vs1 or occasionally 1vs2?"
"I just want to thank you all very much. You are helping/supporting me a lot right now. Yes, I agree with you, play what you enjoy and try things out, you'll have twinks too. I'm watching videos on YouTube at the same time to answer my own question.
I'm also concerned about the visuals and gameplay. My selection has now narrowed down further. It will either be Shaman or Squig Herder. I really like the look of both classes, including the class armor, which I find very important. Now I just need to know which one is easier to play. I've already heard that shamans are good as healers but also as DD. What about the squig? I've seen that it's also played in melee, although I would prefer the bow ;"
"You're right. But what you say is true, but not entirely. I could have started with WE/WH, and based on what I've learned from forums, I don't think I would have been happy with that. Especially as a newbie who wants to play everywhere, I don't think that would have been a good experience. I've listed my favorites:
Squig Herder
Shaman
DoC
and
SW
You're definitely right. Don't take this as criticism. I just want to know which class you experienced players would start with as a beginner in my position. I'd like to be a DD, but I'm also happy to heal as long as I have the opportunity to be a DD with the appropriate armor at some point later on. What do you say? Which class?"
Oh, and I have to say, I have the utmost respect for the original developers of Warhammer. Every race and class is so unique and lovingly designed, something I miss in 99% of other games!

So, since I'm playing a shaman and having fun, I could also play a zealot. Of course, I also have the option of playing as a DD with armor and spec. But what do you think of engineer—it even looks awesome as a female. Is the class fun as a DD? Yes, I know, try it out for yourself, I'll get to that in a moment. But I'm interested in your personal experiences. I avoid Reddit, and it takes a while to get an answer in the forum, so I'm asking here in DC. Bright Wizard is also interesting. I look forward to your answers.

I know, dear friends, you're probably tired of hearing these questions because they're asked all the time, but here I am again, asking them once more. After my long MMO odyssey, which has lasted almost 20 years, and I've played almost everything, WoW, GW2, ESO, Albion Online, BDO, Throne and Liberty, SWOTR, DAOC, Turtle and Ascension WoW, and many more, I have really discovered RoR as a gem for myself. I am 80% PvP player, and PvE has always been just a means to an end in order to be competitive in PvP.
So RoR meets all my requirements.

Unfortunately, I'm a bit older now and my time is more limited. I don't want to have to go through trial and error if you tell me to stay away from this class. I've read a lot here, so I'll stay away from WH and WE. I want a class that allows me to take on the entire content.

So what do you think of my favorites? With healers, it's important to me that I can also be a good DD at some point, with additional equipment.
Squig Herder
Engineer
Bright Wizard
and Healer/also as DD
Zealot
Shaman

What do you think?

I suggest try all to around lvl 30 to have a bigger picture how they perform and if you like the playstyle.

My favourites from your list are Engineer and Shamman.

Engineer is one of the most fun class I have played even he is not super duper killing machine like BW.

The worst expirience for me was to level SH. Buggy and constantly disasppearing pet that was hard to impossible to controll, physical damage that needs tons of weapon skill to deal meaningfull damage and melee meatball dps for AOE.

Bright wizard has highest ST burst and great AoE, but its glass cannon that depends on healer the most of all listed options.
